Lots of reports that you “can” cancel Genie + LL but that the system really doesn’t like it. JJT had some glitchiness canceling and rescheduling and them this was interesting Intel:

Agreed.
I notice that on the Genie demo screen shots in MDE on my desktop that it describes only wait times as “Shorter than Usual”
They say flexible but they really don’t want you changing your plans, IMO.

Frozen Sing-a-long is also listed under “Unavailable” so I think it’s just that there are no January showtimes listed for those shows yet. I hope… If both of those are really closed in January that really sucks.

It also won’t let me make a plan for next week when we arrive. Saying we don’t have valid park admission for the park I selected but it didn’t let me select a park.
Interesting, didn’t they already say it couldn’t be altered or cancelled?
I thought that was just for the ILL$?

Genie doesn’t show party reservations. That seems like a miss.

One thing I noticed is the Tip board and the My Day board actually show if a restaurant has available reservations or if they didn’t (and didn’t just recommend ones that didn’t). I feel from a dining perspective that this is much better. I always hated having to search to see if they actually had openings.

I agree! Having free FP+ move to Genie$ isn’t going to create enough capacity for everyone with Genie+ to ride everything they want. Even with having to pay and no re-rides skimming off some demand.
Disney has completely failed at expectations management. When people pay money, their expectations are higher. But the price point they selected isn’t high enough to weed out sufficient guests for Genie+ to actually give the paying customers all the higher demand rides.
Will be interesting to see where Disney goes with this…parks are barely open and vibe on Genie+ seems pretty negative.

I should clarify I think this was all Genie + LL not ILLS. Will edit my post.
Though now there is the problem that they are dropping earlier ILLS times after people are locked in.

But somewhere in there, there was a message posting a screenshot that was about cancelling just plans made on/thru the free Genie app (I think)

Yes, when it was free it was nice to get the better rides but you didn’t expect that you definitely could. Different expectations when you’re paying.
