Oh, and I forgot to mention that I haven’t calculated the cost for what we may eat at the booths because I haven’t really polled DD and DH yet. It doesn’t look like I can have anything TBH.
That makes sense, TBH.
For hotels, you pay an additional 6% on top of the normal sales tax. “Tourist Development Tax”.
I also have potentially free kids. Since this is before our actual trip starts I was going to use a fake kid instead of DS10.
Ohh, yeah. That def works! With the addition of tax, that does make for a sweet convergence.
I’m pretty sure I wasn’t looking at hotel taxes, but wherever my mind has been, I would not totally put it past me. I still maintain that leaves a nice buffer.
I only know of the additional tax for hotels (well, I think lodging rentals in general). That comes to 13.5% total tax in one of the two counties, and I think 12.5% in the other. I’ve not seen other things taxed at that rate. Normal sale taxes apply.
On another but similar topic, those wrist band GC’s, I guess you can’t purchase them with GCs, can you? I want to get each of us one to make it easier to purchase things. I’ll have to budget $45 for that if I can’t.
AI has a real problem distinguishing between the different Disney locations and old/current info. Someone on chat posted a question the other day about tickets expiring 10 days after the actual expiration (based on AI info). I will note AI will also confused Universal Studios Orlando and Magic Kingdom.
I still remember the time that Gemini was telling me that I had to tip WDW ride attendants based off a spoof website.
At the restaurants?
You don’t??

True. I guess I should have put my snarkanimal there. I was being snarky. ![]()
I cringe when people say “I am just going to create a touring plan with ChatGPT.” Yeah, have fun finding “Harry Potter Land” in MK.
Florida has a 6% sales tax rate.
Orange County has an additional half-percent tax rate, for a total of 6.5%
Osceola County has an additional 1.5% tax rate, for a total of 7.5%.
To my knowledge, only the All-Star Resorts and the ESPN complex are in Osceola County.
Then there are the additional tourism taxes for hotel stays.
I do have to say that Copilot was helpful with writing plans around our disabilities. However, I did give it my touring plan. Yes, I had to correct it a lot.
Yes, but you know what is wrong. So many people would not be able to see those issues.
True. AI is only good for making things you do or know easier and faster. It’s not a good tool for doing things you know nothing about.
From my recent Pop! bill.
Florida State Accommodations Tax = 6.0%
Orange County Tourist Development Tax = 6.0%
Orange County Accommodation Tax = 0.5%
Total = 12.5%
