I just tried to reserve this as a gift for my sister for the last two nights of her vacation. It will be confirmed in 3-7 days—which makes me wonder if it is, indeed, a confirmed rental, or it it’s a price at which they are willing to use their own points to book. At least they clearly told me that it’s not confirmed, so I don’t get my hopes up, even tho it already hit my credit card.

Maybe they meant that it’ll be confirmed in 3-7 days because they allow the Owner a few days to add the guests to the reservation?

I’ve never rented from DVC Shop but this would be my guess too. It seems a little long though. Actually, if they had their own points to rent out I would think the confirmation should take less than 24 hours. I’ve gotten my confirmations in 2 days tops. I’ve nted from DVC Rental Store twice and Dave’s. Only 1 was points rental.

This is near the bottom of prices for this room in December. Last year we saw a bit more than a dozen listings around or below this price as the year continued, but volume this year so far is much lower.

Let’s try something different! I’m going to make a case for thinking this 14% OVER median is a decent price.

While I would not say they are rare, Boulder Ridge studios are just not a high volume listing.
Since 2024 there have only been 98 listings 2-nights or longer.
When limiting to 4-nights like this one: 59 total listings.
In general, BR prices tend to cluster fairly tightly right around the median and in July it appears the largest number of them show up between about 160-220 days out from check in.
So, from right now (58 days before this listing’s check in date) we should expect near zero additional >=4-night listings at all. Last year there was a single one for right at median at 39 days out.
THE BIG BUT
If you can book a cash rate room at BR or CC - right now with the 30% off Summer, those are only $13 more per night than this non-refundable listing! This close in I’d probably go for the $52 in savings with the DVC rental, but any further out I’d consider that difference almost negligible and a bit of insurance to have a fully refundable booking.

Just looking at the numbers for this and was surprised to notice that while there are a LOT fewer dots in the 2026 charts - we’ve actually had a LOT more BC listings this year!
That’s because quite a few of these listings are twinsies - same dates and same prices, which show up as a single dot in the chart. Most of them were shorter stays.
But, after all of that: This is 100% win for Beach Club in July. There have only been about 8 listings priced lower than this in 2026 and all were shorter stays.

Just not many long stays at this price point and this is just about the lowest price seen this year for this room (There were two shorter stays priced at $280 and $266.)
We almost certainly will not be seeing any new listings at this price longer than 2 or 3-nights and we’d be lucky to see another one or two of those shorter listings.

Here’s another listing outside of my usual “below median” threshold for highlighting - a 6-night Copper Creek in the high holy times of next March that after a slight price drop sits more or less right at median now.
TL;DR: As a long listing on desirable dates, I think this is a solid win if you are OK with a mostly non-refundable booking this far out.
FWIW: Right now with no discounts applied, this room is going for $723/night BEFORE tax for the cash rate.
3-night Copper Creek Studio 03/14 orig $456/night now $444/n or 1% under median
First thing to know: there have been 82-multi-night CC studios from 2024 to date, but only 17 of them were 6-nights or longer.
Looking at >=6-nights:
- 2024: Saw 2 March listings appeared on either side of median at about 105 days out.
- 2025: Saw 3 listings at a similar but slightly over median price appear in the range between 150-250 days out. (This current listing is 293 days out.)
- 2026: Saw 2 listings right at 22 months and another at about 110 days. That be it.
Looking at all listings >=2-nights: There were obviously more listings, but not a ton each year. 2024 has a nice grouping at 200 days, 2026 had a couple at a few weeks out.

Follow up to this - looks like after being listed for weeks they actually increased the per night price and lowered the number of nights at the same time. I have a formula to catch and highlight price increases, but seems like when they add in a change in the number of nights, my automagic listing string creation formula doesn’t pick that up correctly.
Guess I need to look into that.

Here’s the raw data captures (There’s only a few rows between April and yesterday because I have a routine that prunes out any duplicate entries at intervals to clean up and streamline my database.)
FWIW: The price analysis still stands AND turns out there are several similar CC listings for next Spring. Just note that the April “monthly median” for CC Studios is about $46 higher than March, which is more than I thought it would be, but probably to be expected.)
