Definitely do NOT do this. Some of the rental companies offer to rent out your DVC points so that you can put that money towards a cruise. That shows you how much the point economics make no sense.
DVC Points required for 4 people, (rental price $22):
Inside: 538 - $11,836
Oceanview: 557 - $12,254
Verandah: 598 = $13,156
Concierge: 1271 = $27,962
I’ll be honest that I thought the points rental increase would be more! But definitely pay cash.
Also - I chose this particular one because I have a Royal Caribbean cruise booked for a family of 4 that same week, 7 nights on the Oasis of the Seas in a balcony for $2,200. I still can’t believe Disney gets the premium that they do.
They price dropped this one by $225 to a super low (insert snark emoji here) $1,875 for the single night, so now it is only 104% OVER the median price.
There just is not a ton of deviation from the median for the lower priced Aulani listings in June, so this is right there in the “good” price range when it comes to historical data.
While you will see a number of much lower prices for Aulani studios in several other months, this price is very solidly good for June. Normally 7-nights under median like this in June are rareish, but this is the SEVENTH identical listing for this room posted in March.
That is a really great deal! Funny enough, I have those dates booked already with my points. Well 5/17-21. I am taking Avery, Carson, and his girlfriend to celebrate his college graduation. Tim said no thank you to another theme park trip.
But someone should definitely pick that up. It’s a great deal!
Do you “belong” to Mousesavers? They do a great job showing the discounted cruises. I don’t want to link from here, but I bet you could search it easily enough.
This is a very nice price - If we’re going to see lower prices for Kidani studios in October, probably will start appearing in the 25-75 days out range based on past data. ALL lower Oct prices for this room from 2024 to today were back in 2024, so fair chance we won’t see any again this year!
4-night AK Kidani Studio 10/18 for $330/night or 15% under
FWIW: This first one is obviously an expensive room overall - and it is not a common one seen in the data. But for July, this is one of the two lowest prices recorded since 2024.
2-night BC 2 Bedroom 07/16 for $865/night or 16% under median
Very nice price for this room in December - might see some lower priced rooms appear over time, but when limiting to just 4-nights or longer, not a huge number of them in the past. Largest concentration at this price point or lower appeared right at 11 months or just under 75 days out.
4-night SSR Studio 12/14 for $286/night or 16% under
