So I’m confused about this. My understanding is that the dining plan is applicable to room reservation + ticket packages only, am I incorrect? With DVC points, aren’t they only used for rooms and not packages? How would a dining plan even be applied?
No. You don’t have to have tickets. You can have a room and dining package. Otherwise, how could passholders get the dining plan? Heck, you can have a room “package”.
Thank you, I’m very unfamiliar with packages and the dining plan in general. So then how does the dining package work? If tickets aren’t involved, I assumed it’d be priced based on the number of people staying in a room, but if this is a confirmed reservation, wouldn’t that number change when its updated and potentially increase the overall cost?
As far as how this worked for @drvillarejos in this case, I could not tell you. I know very little about DVC. I just know that you can get the dining plan on a room package without tickets.
Supposed to be a day off from work, but power outages at office!
We have it back online now and I have my scripts running again.
No analysis today, just links.
Crazy PRICE DROP DEALS
3-night SSR 2 Bedroom 02/23 orig $686/night now $441/n or 40% under median
2-night DLH 2 Bedroom 02/24 orig $1,040/night now $780/n or 46% under median
I do not have a package. I have a DVC room only and convention tix. The Dining Plan can be purchased with a nightly reservation. When you take over a reservation, all the DVC owner does is change the names. The dining plan stays with it. Either you can’t cancel them or they didn’t. I don’t know.
Possibly. There may have been only 2 adults in this room. That’s what I got credits for.
I’ve never done any of these dining packages without it being a regular package (and even that was 10+ years ago), but I recall several discussions over the years about ticketless packages, if that is relevant.
I didn’t answer this earlier. Dining plan is always based on the number of people in the room, regardless of tickets. Kids 3-9 are free with the purchase of adult dining.
All of these are similar to other April listings I’ve posted recently:
- You will see much lower prices for these same rooms on many other dates in the year
- When you limit your search to longer stays, like 5-nights, the number of historical data points at these lower end prices drops by about half.
(And when I say you will see much lower prices other dates, that doesn’t mean there aren’t insanely higher prices also posted at those same times - there are every day in the year. See th OKW vs All Dates chart below.)
5-night OKW Studio 04/11 for $316/night or 12% under median
3-night OKW Studio 04/19 for $300/night or 17% under
vs All Dates:
5-night SSR Studio 04/26 for $300/night or 14% under
4-night Poly Studio 06/06 for $454/night or 13% under median
Probably will see a few more >=2-night June listings at or below this price as we get closer, but if limiting to >=4-nights, chances are much lower.
| This next one first appeared back on 2/7 and was last seen 2/10 - but must have fallen through or something because… | ![]() |
4-night Poly Studio 08/31 for $403/night or 18% under
Not a great day for lower priced listings today, but we’ve got a few to look at in the last refresh of the day:

Another listing that requires a little analysis to show it is a GRAB IT NOW LISTING if you want to stay there in December!
4-night AK Jambo Studio 12/06 orig $410/night now $358/n or 14% under median
Jambo listings in December have an EXTREME tilt to being released out at 11 months and being very sparse through the rest of the months leading up to it.
Looking at the historical data below, at this many days out almost all lower-priced listings have likely already appeared and we won’t see many more 4-nighters around this price.
NEW
This one is PDN - PRETTY DARN NICE for March. Very unlikely we’ll see another like this for that time frame.
2-night BLT Studio 03/03 for $420/night or 17% under median
5-night OKW Studio 12/13 for $260/night or 17% under
Unlike the December Jambo analysis above, there will likely be a good number of >=2-night OKW studios around this price between now and the end of the year.
But, if looking for a >=5-nighter, the total number of December listings drops by half vs >=2-nighter and I’d guess we might only see a small handful of listings this low.
Last minute & a 1-nighter, but a smoking deal!
1-night AK Jambo Studio 02/24 orig $246/night now $222/n or 38% under median
So looking back at 2024 and 2025 active listing counts, it would seem that right around now we’d be at the peak number for this year. If this cyclical trend holds, that would mean the 2026 peak contests with 2024’s low. And that is just bonkers to me.
It is pretty nuts, right? I would never have thought the change would be that great.
Hey, Just noticed my DVCStore.com script is resulting in an empty output file. Looks like they changed the page…
Funny timing. Yeah, looks like they must’ve updated the page around 1:30pm. The new design looks great though, that’s for sure.
Help my tired brain.
This year’s peak is on par with 2024 low, so this is as good as it’s going to get?
Of course, I just spent about 20 minutes banging my head on the keyboard until I realized they left out a resort name which was borking my new script.
They’re IP blocking too. Even with legitimate browsers and devices. Not sure if it’s a temporary ban or what the rules actually are, but this is… unusually restrictive for a small business.
