1-night BW Studio 06/08 for $310/night or 25% under
1-night BW Studio 07/21 for $297/night or 28% under
5-night Aulani 2 Bedroom 02/08 for $1225/night or 18% under
While there have been much lower prices last year in the Sept - Nov time frame, I think I’d consider this a good price for February time frame, since it is rare around then.
7-night AK Kidani Studio 07/05 for $286/night or 19% under
Looking at the Price by Days Out chart for 2-nights or longer, looks, it’s a pretty nice price, but not the best, and you might expect to see more show up, but…
Looks like for September, most lower price CC studios tend to show up way out beyond the 200 days out mark for listings of 4-nights or longer, so if this is an attractive listing to you, I wouldn’t sit on booking it.
Looking at all August listings for this room 2-nights or longer, you might think there’s a decent chance of catching another lower priced listing over the next weeks…
But when looking at a more candy apples to candy apples 5-night or more, not only does this listing look more better compared to that more specific median - I’ve only recorded 2 multinight listings around this price closer to check in.
As you can see from the cloud of orange dots on the left, many more 1-nighter listings close in.
So, out of the 7,936 rentals that ever changed in price (~19%), 218 were increases.
So, only 2.7% of changed rentals were increases.
Those 218 increases translate to only 0.52% of ALL 41,816 rentals.
When it comes to the parentheses - I actually flip-flopped on that decision and I get your take on ($debits) as the standard.
I eventually decided that because decreases are both the majority of changes AND the desired outcome, it was visually easier to present the decreases as a positive number.
I was betting most people don’t think in terms of that parentheses = negative number accounting standard and would just be easier for people to parse.
Also, I thought that if people somehow understood () usually means a negative number AND an increase is a negative outcome - that kind of lines up.
So then what’s the accurate price on that one, and was it an increase?
Latest price shows $340/nt - is that what I would go on? Seems like it based on current total cost
