Planning a two family trip to Disneyland Paris (DLP) in August this year. Expecting it to be a great combination of hot and busy
Our itinerary will be three nights with two full days and two half days (is that too much?). Plannin to be onsite. No experience with the park and looking for any tips! So far we are thinking of…
Staying at Sequoia
Unsure about Ultimate Pass but strongly considering
bringing our own food but would love to know if there’s a must do reservation / quick service (heard Agrabah is good!)
That’s about all we know at this point! Would greatly appreciate anything you can recommend for to make the most of our visit!
How fun! We visited DLP in December 2003, also for two full days and two half days and thought it was the perfect amount of time to do almost everything without feeling rushed.
We stayed the Hotel Cheyenne, though we did have dinner at the Sequoia’s “Hunter’s Grill” one night and very much enjoyed it (I booked it purely because they have a raclette station in the winter months, but we actually thought the whole buffet was very good, the kids especially loved the cheese and crepes stations). There are not a huge amount of impressive quick service options in the parks, and because of the cold we ended up eating mostly table service. We enjoyed all the well-known spots (Walt’s, Remy’s, Captain Jack’s, Plaza character breakfast) and thought the theming was amazing, while the food was good (but not amazing). Agrabah also got our vote for best food (it’s a buffet) - and great theming to boot. If you want to splurge, the photos of the new La Foret Secrete in the DL Hotel look incredible! @gingerSnaps543222 has a booking there this summer and we are eagerly awaiting her feedback
There was definitely no need for Ultimate Pass on our days, and I think most Liners who have been have found that with the extra hour for onsite guests (and maybe a single pass for Crush’s or up to three rides total per day) was perfectly sufficient - but it may depend on the crowd levels you’re expecting (and of course your budget - Ultimate Pass is not cheap!)
So incredibly helpful. Thank you! Just read thru your trip report and loved all the detail.
We are definitely going to consider Cheyenne now but given the timing for our trip wanted to prioritize a good pool (hence Sequoia). You also have me questioning Ultimate, need to research crowds more for August.
My daughter and I visited DLP in the spring of both 2023 and 2024. Here are my trip reports, there is lots of non DLP stuff as well, but hopefully the DLP stuff is helpful. Have fun planning!
