Disneyland payment issues

Ok.

Has anyone else had these issues or head of them? There is like less than a handful of hits when I google it and realllly want to solve this mystery before I go back.

so, it all started in June. I booked a Disneyland resort package. Hotel, tickets, the whole thing. Used my Disney visa that’s on file that I used the month earlier at Aulani, the year before at Disneyland, and charged every month for Disney plus.

I put my deposit down. 2 weeks later made a payment. Then 2 weeks after that went to make another payment and got the error “Your payment could not be processed. Please use another card.”

Weird I thought maybe their system was down. Tried again a few days later. Same error. Ok I want the Disney points but I tried my Amazon visa. Same error. What? Ok I call them. They take my visa over here phone and…. Get the same error. Send me to IT. They ask me all the standard stuff (does your address match exact, did anything change etc etc) I’m like no, plus I had no issues booking it. It’s the same card, same info. They “escalated it” and told me to try the next day.

I tried, it worked! Hooray! Problem solved.

2 weeks later I went to make a payment and got the error again. Called again. They escalated it. Hooray it worked! 2 weeks later same error. After that escalation I just paid the whole amount. Was tired of calling.

Our trip was last week. On Saturday the 6th, went to buy Rise lightning lanes and guess what? Got an error

“Something went wrong and we were unable to process your payment. Please try again.”

Tried again . No luck. Tried another card. No luck. Tried another card from another bank. No luck. Logged into my account on my wife’s phone using her Apple Pay with yet another bank. No luck.

2 chase, capitol one, and BoA . All gave me the error. I went up to the rise guy and asked how the heck do I buy this? He waved me in . I was happy.

The next day we are at Cadv, I go to mobile order smoke jumpers grill. Error. Error. Go wait in line , buy our food and try to book radiator springs .

And tried another card

HERE IS THE KICKER.

I had a $100 gift card. Tried to use it and GOT an error

There was an issue processing your Disney Gift Card. Please remove it and try adding it again.

Didn’t work

So it’s not a banking issue if the gift card also didn’t work. Wtf? I go to the blue umbrella guys. He’s super nice. I show him nothing works. He’s stumped. Asks around. Stumped. Spent 45 mins working with me We even made an entire new account, transfers my tickets, tried from there. Did not work. He gave me radiator passes, sent it to IT to escalate it. Told me to try tomorow.

10 hours later I tried to order mobile order and IT worked! It worked the next day too for mobile order and another radiator springs. And the next day we ordered jolly holiday at 7 am . All good. At dinner we went to order hungry bear and… ERROR. It was like exactly 48 hours later. It’s like their fix is temporary and doesn’t hold.

It was insanely frustrating, a time waster and annoying. I do not understand how they fix it for a bit. I do not understand why a gift card didn’t work since it’s prepaid.

Has anyone else seen this? Found a fix? I’d like to go again next year but i honestly don’t want to deal with this and just want to figure it out!
