Anyone else having trouble with MDE?

Last Thursday was the first day I could make dining reservations for my upcoming trip. First try, reservation would not go through. I kept getting an error message. Two chats plus two phone calls later I have changed my password, tried via desktop, laptop and phone, different browsers, unsuccessfully tried to add/change payment types. Cast members have all said they see no issue on their end and until more people report an issue (a couple of them acknowledged that it’s likely an issue on their end with payment processing but there were currently no “notes”) there is NOTHING they can do. If I call, I’m able to make dining reservations. I have an email into customer support and they’ve responded that they are looking into it but no solution yet. Still not able to make any ADRs or add credit cards to my payment methods. I’m freaking out a bit that this is some sort of weird account glitch for me and that it will not be resolved before it comes time for me to purchase and make selections for LLMP. I told a cast member I was worried and they just said to call to do my LL purchasing. Such a pain in the butt when I could do it in moments online vs sitting on hold for who knows how long. UGHHHHHHHH…

Do you have Disney+? A long while back this happened when you had to change your passwords for MDE and Disney+ all to the same ones. Had to log out of all Disney+, ESPN+, HULU, and MDE, change passwords then log back in and everything was fine.

No clue if that is your problem but try logging out of all of those and then logging back in? Is your MDE updated? Did you try website and app?

Are you able to make ressies on a browser?

Nope. Safari, Chrome, tried multiple. My app doesn’t work for ADR either. Same error message every time. I can’t even add a payment in my settings…but they took the same card over the phone when I called for ADRs. It’s super frustrating. I even called my bank. No issue with my card.

We do have Disney+. I did change my password on Thursday but will try logging out of everything and back in. Thanks for the suggestion.

Yes, tried website and app. Even deleted and re-installed the app. :weary:

Is the Disney+ password the same as your MDE password? If not, make them be the same.

Probably a dumb question but are you manually entering the password vs using a saved one?

Not dumb at all because I’m desperate to figure this out. Yes, manually every time. It’s so bizarre. Once the cast member made the ADR for me, I could modify it on my own. I gave them the same Disney Visa card that I’m trying to add to my account. I just can’t get past the “payment” screen. I guess I’m going to give it a couple more days and then call again. Thankfully, my daughter and I weren’t looking to get too many or at any really hard to get places. I just want it fixed before LL time!

You can’t add a secondary credit card to your payment methods?

I have a credit card, a debit card and a redemption card currently on my account. Including the card I used to make my resort booking. I cannot add my Disney Visa. None of the cards I have in there work when I try to make a reservation. When I called to make ADRs on the phone, my Disney Visa was accepted to make them.

Have you done all this in an incognito page? I wonder if you need to clear your cache and or cookies. I would try incognito if you haven’t and see how that goes

Can you remove the redemption card and add it back later?

Or maybe just pull them all and add the card individually in each ressie?

I’m going to cry or scream or something. I deleted all of my payments. I tried adding a card just during the ADR part…no luck. Went incognito, no luck. I’m able to add every other card I try back to my MDE account EXCEPT for my Disney Visa but still cannot make my own ADRs. I just spent 30 minutes on the phone with Chase Visa being transferred back and forth between customer service and fraud with the only solution being them sending me a new card “just in case the numbers are bad”…WTH does that even mean? So I guess we will see when I get the new card. Still doesn’t solve the ADR issue though.

I had a heck of a time with the app and browser in January. As soon as I would log in - the next page I clicked logged me out. I was grateful I wasn’t using MDE for LL’s and such. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, tried through the browser, hurled my phone across the room (kidding.) I don’t know if it’s fixed. It works at random.
I applaud your patience with Disney IT and your CC company. I loathe having to call any company anymore. Hope you get it worked out soon.

As a matter of fact, I cannot open the Dining page on Disney world.go.com or the check availability page. Both return a Lost Network Connection error. I’ve tried two different browsers, so there is definitely something quirky going on on their main website.

Did you ever get it to work? You can’t leave me hanging.
