Crowd Estimation Early April 2025

If I had to bet on the best week it would be the second week in April.
Spring has really seen increased crowds overall.

Different parts of the country have different spring break dates. A late Easter just means spring break crowds will be spread over more weeks. Different schools use different rules when they have spring break. Most schools in the Atlanta area have their spring breaks during the first week of April. Some schools base their spring breaks on Easter. We collect data on over 100 school districts, but that usually does not happen until mid-summer after the calendars are published.

Easter in 2019 was April 21. April crowd levels in 2025 should be similar to 2019. Disney World Historical Crowds - April 2019

With immense respect, and I mean that based on past communications, I think you are incorrect that ā€œa late Easter just means spring break crowds will be spread over more weeks.ā€ You refer to the 2019 Historical Crowd data and that indicates a HUGE decrease in the second week of April that year. So a late Easter does not necessarily spread the crowds out evenly. HOWEVER, the difference in 2025 may be re when the Atlanta school breaks occur. You state that they occur in the first week of April. Is this the first full week as of a Monday? In 2019 the first school week of April commenced on Monday, April 1. But in 2025 April 1 is on a Tuesday so the first full week in April may be on Monday April 7. Last query, how much does Atlanta affect things anyway. The 2019 data shows an incredible 3 Crowd Level throughout the week so even if Atlanta starts that week would not the Crowd Levels be a 4?

I never meant that spring break crowd are evenly spread out.

Atlanta was an example how some school districts schedule spring break. The 2025 Atlanta sorting break is April 7-11.

This is what I was going to say. April will be busier, for sure.

I live in a Mountain West state so our breaks don’t generally impact WDW crowds (but do DL in Anaheim’s). But our spring break’s are all over the place. Each district does it’s own thing.

For preschool my kids went to a private school that aligns with one of the bigger school districts in the state (but not the biggest one) and they are consistently the first week of April (but will do end of March if most of the week is still in April ie next year spring break will be March 31-Apr 4). For elementary & up, my kids attend the 2nd largest district in the state and it changes all the time but isn’t always tied to Easter (so I have no idea what drives the decision for when to have spring break but they usually are in school for one if not both of Good Friday & Easter Monday). Next year that school’s break will be April 7-11. And then we live in a totally different school district than the 2 mentioned above, and they always seem to be a different but last year & this year were both end of March. But I don’t remember if they always are the end of March (since my kids haven’t ever attended there, only lived next to kids that did).

I’m trying to figure out the exact same thing! We want to go in April 2025 and want to find that week where it’s not swamped lol. It’s giving me a headache searching. So is April 6-12 good or no? I know run Disney Springtime is April 4-6. I wonder if they make it crowded for the week after the run is over. Let me know any information you find out.

We were there lasy year and the Springtime Surprise weekend fell in the middle-ish of our trip. Besides the Saturday morning race, we didn’t notice anything at all. And the race stuff is done early (we are early risers). By the time we were getting to MK there were a lot of runners who had finished.
