Coronavirus Outbreak: Part 4

It seems that Americans learned nothing from the global pandemic.
Be careful out there, people, especially in Florida.

I don’t think the world learned anything. I’ve had a Greek & French dr. tell me, ā€œCovid isn’t here anymore. I don’t recommend the vaccine. It’s only for the very oldā€. And in the next sentence tell me, w/o a mask on, that they have ā€œdiagnosed 7 covid cases in the past few daysā€  :woman_facepalming: :face_with_medical_mask: :face_with_symbols_on_mouth:

I checked w/ a French pharmacist last week about a covid jab and she said she didn’t have any vaccine but expected it w/in the next month w/ the flu vaccine delivery. She actually went and physically opened her mini fridge to look for vaccine for me

Just got my Nuvaxovid (formerly Novavax) at CVS. Latest data still shows it as having a slightly better side effect profile than the mRNA vaccines. If you book on the CVS website, it shows which Covid vaccines are available at each location. (If you previously had a good experience with one of the mRNA vaccines, it might be a very valid decision to stick with that one.)

So we are currently living in France and have been inquiring about covid & Flu (grippe) vaccinations. The dr. said he didn’t believe in covid (I’m hoping it’s a language transition issue), the immigration office told me they would be available Oct 13th. We are on a waiting list at a pharmacy for covid jab but already walked in and got our grippe jab (makes me laugh to say grippe instead of flu :woman_shrugging:   Another American reported the pharmacy couldn’t figure out how to bill them w/o a French SSN and so they were unable to get their covid jab. I’m hoping our small beach town location knows something more b/c they put us on a call list. :crossed_fingers: :crossed_fingers:

Here’s some pics from France (south)
