It’s 10K to replace a hybred battery.
Spoke with detectives, waiting for crime scene photographers.
Insurance set up window replacement for tomorrow since they had to order part. They’re going to do it at sisters house between 12 and 5.
Hotel is comping our whole stay.
Wow that is awful!
I found the lipstick on the pig. At least they are comping the stay. Any chance there are cameras in that area??
There are some cameras, but as a guy who is in charge of security for a utility, not NEARLY enough nor in key spots. Unless they have a bunch hidden, which I do not think is the case.
What a mess.
Oh gosh, I’m so sorry.
Sorry you are having to deal with that! What a pain!
Now this is fantastic customer service.
What a crappy start to the day. I’m glad it was just things and not people that were hurt, but that still sucks to have to deal with on vacation. Hope the rest of your time in Miami is uneventful.
One my friends that lives a few blocks away had her catalytic converter ripped out of her Prius last night. Apparently they are stealing them for the precious metals inside.
We have a Prius that is parked on the street. We will have to keep a closer eye on it …hopefully we retain our battery, airbags, and catalytic converter.
My dad had his catalytic converter nicked a couple of months ago. The police told him to watch out because they wait for you to get a replacement then come back and nick that as well.
Someone just told my friend that you can get a shield welded over the catalytic converter (after replacement) that will prevent any future theft.
Sounds like a garage would be a simpler solution but I know not everyone can do that. We can’t fit both our cars in the garage… at the same time
Oh. My. Goodness.
This is a thing?!?!
This is terrible. I am so so sorry JJT!
Which is kinda funny since you had the best possible rate…
We’ve been warned this is an issue in the Carolinas.
Three vehicles
No garage
Typical Philadelphia style row house
Tiny driveway on alley (squeeze two vehicles if necessary)
Overcrowded on street parking
…and the street has better lighting than the alley.
Zero chance we’d ever put our cars in the garage. We have so much stuff to store for yard and beyond.
Yes, I believe most garages are used as storage
When temps cool I’m getting mine set to put both vehicles in
