Sounds like a perfect evening
Jealous! But very very happy for you. We were supposed to be at the Poly next week. Ah well, at least I don’t have to wait in line for Dole whips…(you know I’d be happy to)
It was less chaotic at the beach, but a LOT of little ones obviously running on overload all over the place. Still, was great. And we learned that while the Poly is cool, CSR is more our vibe.
As we walked down the path with Dole Whips melting at high speed, a Dad was waiting with his little girl, maybe 5 years old. She was gazing across the water at the castle, and as we walked past she turned to him and said, “I think Cinderella is probably in bed by now.”
The path back to the TTC is ridiculously dark and wavy enough to be confusing if you didn’t pay attention on the way in, or leave a trail of churros as I did.
The walk back to the car was painful for the girls, who chose fashion over comfort on their feet.
I was C-A-T Smart and packed a cooler of cold water in the car. Drive back to Coronado was an easy 10 minutes.
Precious!
Much more impressive in person on the beach, but I caught the show on my phone.
Actually a little cooler out this morning!
DW and I having our coffee out while kids sleep.
Terrible sky to have to look at.
Plan today is to see if we can park at AoA, for whatever reason my family loves Landscape of Flavors for breakfast. If we get turned away, unsure what the plan will be, but I’ve warned them.
After going to bus to HS and walk around the EP resorts, first time for us all. In the past on normal park going trips we’ve never had the time to explore so much as these last few trips, and I love it.
Some more ferry back to TTC & Poly shots from last night:
It’s funny, I’ve taken a zillion photos in my day and until this trip I can probably count the number of times I’ve caught my finger in a shot on one, um… finger.
Because my Canon seems to have some sort of autofocus issue, I just went all phone, guess I’m a little paranoid about dropping it while taking so many photos.
By the way, last night I mentioned that the kids at Poly all seemed to be kinda wild. My wife just mentioned that the pool was closed due to lightning in the area, so I’m guessing that helped - they were probably waiting around without that outlet for awhile!
I didn’t get to check that area out too much, I jumped on the nutty Pineapple Lanai line and told them all to explore and scope out our spot at beach. As you can see from photos, they got a perfect one!
Did you get a spot to sit or were you standing? I guess you could sit in the sand too.
The chairs were long taken. Plenty of spots to sit on sand, but girls were dressed nicely for dinner, so we just stood on path. Was a slightly better view there too since it’s higher than beach.
AoA parking update: Security CM didn’t bat an eye when I said we were staying at CSR and hoping to eat at Landscape of Flavors. Said, sure, have a good day.
LoF is super crazy and loud today. Could not mobile order allergy items, had to wait on cashier line, speak to chef. But, she made the food in literally 5 minutes.
Potatoes aren’t the cheesy ones anymore in breakfast platter, eating out of cardboard box not optimal. Think this will be our last visit here.
But, jumping on Skyliner over at Pop to hear to EPCOT and check out deluxe resorts now!
This is SO good to hear! Did he scan your MBs?
Nope!
Finally, the Skyliner concave glass provides an opportunity to show just how jacked my forearms are.
Okay in honor of JJT I will have to add these books to my summer “who can read the most books” competition with my daughter. I’ve done drama and mystery. Now I need funny.
Just catching up on this post now. Sorry about the car - can’t wait to get to the trip report!
This is a perfect series for that dual goal. There are lots of books in the series and Stephanie Plum and her friends/family are hysterical.
EP area resorts were very nice. DW & DD especially liked YC. Need to find a candle with that resort fragrance.
Didn’t see any mention they have the whole lake side of YC scaffolded. Walking the boardwalk was blazing hot. Found a drink refills station at bakery.
Loved loved the Skyliner. Smooth, nice views.
Family is kinda done with heat. Last day now, back at CSR. Waiting out thunderstorm in room, have had amazingly few since down here.
Probably some pool time, maybe another run at Three Bridges later. Also plan to go up to Dahlia Lounge in tower when it is getting darker. Should be cool view at that time of day.
At AoA I was today years old when I realized all the merchandise cases were pots of paint.
Remy’s ride as you descend into EPCOT.
