I agree. Good leadership absolutely asks the hard questions without directing the “how”: “what do the operations people think” “how will this impact guest experience” "can current IT support this?
This also makes it more consequential to Josh. He will own it instead of the CEO taking the fall.
I really liked his non-answer answer to the FL situation. Strong and confident and on the right side of things. As an employee I would feel more like he has my back.
Yes 100%!! Not just from my own perspective of being a sort of employee. DD and everyone she works with, including people that have been there for years are saying this.
There were also a couple things asked (I’ll let you work out what) where he literally said “it would be illegal for me to comment on that”
It makes me happy that the CM’s are feeling good about this, for now at least. To me that’s the most important part and what’s critical to having great CM’s and magic.
If he wants to learn more, I sincerely suggest Mr. Iger try to plan, book and take a Disney World vacation on a middle-class budget, relying only on Disney’s website and app. When he’s overwhelmed by the cost and complexity, I know many fans who’d be happy to talk him through it. No charge.
