Change with Deluxe Extended Evening Hours

Hi I saw Magic Kingdom will no longer offer Extended Evening Hours on Wenesdays. Instead it will be at Animal Kingdom.
Is it going to affect Crowd Calendar ? When do Touring plan make an update ?

Thanks

Only a guess but maybe they will wait until they know if this change is due to the new MK nighttime parade?

When does this appear to take effect?

July 2nd, I believe Len talks about it on the Disney Dish recently.

It changed last fall as well and I am not sure I recall a specific crowd calendar update. I think they do them periodically anyway and likely take things like this into account.

It is now the first 3 Wednesdays of July 6-8 pm

I bought points to stay at VGF to go to the late night MK EEH on my arrival day and was so excited because I love MK late at night.

I will probably try to get over to AK on arrival and then over to MK for the night time parade, but I am very sad.

I’m sorry! I feel really badly about this.

Last year I had a very careful BWV/Poly split that had Monday night at the BW and Wednesday at the Poly and of course they cancelled the Wed MK nights and I think they moved Epcot to Wednesday? I was pissed.

You should not!!! I am still psyched to hang out the next day at the resort. And I am going to end the night in MK either way. I’ve really wanted to stay in the Mary Poppins rooms.

It is now a choice of whether to rush to AK to take advantage of the hours, or to stick with the more leisurely - enjoy lounges at GF and head over to MK. It will be an amazing 24 hours regardless.

Now I just need to convince my sister to take my DH’s place (he started a new job…)

So you know it works, but those MK EEH, when staying st a MK resort are magical. It is also the fact that Disney messes with the careful plans.

Perfect. That’s after me.

But that also means no night parade for me too probably

So in theory, you could do AK extra hours and then possibly make it to MK for fireworks?

Ooooohhhhhhhh

I like how you’re thinking!

I was so disappointed, too.

I would definitely go with the more leisurely aspect.

It will probably be a game time decision nased on when the parade is and whether they do the tree of life awakenings!

If the EEH is from 6 - 8, so do you think there will be tree of life awakenings?

No idea - I’ll just stalk the park hours and see. Also curious when the safari stops running.

Normal time. 5ish? There aren’t many rides open for EEH.

I think these tend to be limited to the wintery hours these days when it gets dark so early :frowning:
