Best (discounted) ticket to buy with plan to upgrade immediately to Annual Pass?

Has anyone bridged a discount ticket from a 3rd party recently? I did it back in April, but I need to get APs for my 4 kids now and I’m nervous about whether or not it will work this time. Anyone know if they are still doing upgrades over the phone? Thanks!
