Best Counter Service?

Yes “Wisconsin” there are many different style of BBQ and Flame Tree does that style very well. But, while I like it, it’s not for everyone. I wish there were more styles of BBQ available in WDW, perhaps in the America pavilion in Epcot. But, alas no.

My favorites…
AK, Flame Tree(followed closely by Y&Y Market)
Ep, Sunshine Seasons(followed closely by all of WS)
HS, Tune-In Lounge(I know, but you’re sitting at a counter, so I call that counter service)
MK, Leave the park and visit the Contempo Cafe in the CR

MK: Gaston’s Tavern (all hail the pork shank!!!)
EP: Boulangerie (dessert is an every meal food at Disney)
DHS: Starring Rolls (cupcakes are an every meal food at Disney)
AK: Dawa Bar. Oh ok, Flame Tree.

Ugh! How do u stop it from doing that? Lol
MK - CHH
Epcot - sunshine seasons
HS - pizza planet
AK - flame tree

MK: Cosmic Rays (Greek salad)
EP: Electric Umbrella (flat bread)
HS: Backlot Express
AK: Yak & Yeti (honey chicken)

I’ll preface this by saying that I am not a fan of QS in general; I typically eat two TS meals per trip, SO the following is not based on a complete survey of QS locations

MK - CHH; the only QS I’ve found in MK I actually “like” (vs "tolerate)
EP - Yorkshire F&C (Tangerine is a close second)
HS - Pizza Planet - the best of the worst
AK - Y&Y - Have to go with this one as it’s the only one I’ve tried; it was pretty good.

so all the bbq you have had at all the parks is this chili powder flavor?

Yes there is really not regional BBQ there all typically sweet sauce basted.

Oh and if you had something with over powered spice then yes it was an accident I wish WDW would season their food more.

The only BBQ at WDW( that I am aware of) is Flame Tree and Mickey’s Backyard BBQ at Ft Wilderness, which I have not visited. I do like dry rub BBQ best. The Flame Tree rub is…

2 LBS Sugar
8 ozs Season Salt
2 ozs Paprika
2 ozs Chili Powder
2 ozs Ground Black Pepper
1/2 ozs Garlic Salt
1/2 ozs Onion Powder
1 oz Cumin

That’s according to Allears.net Recipes -- BBQ Sauce and Rub -- Flame Tree Barbecue - AllEars.Net

Sounds like almost the exact same dry rub recipe that I use - except mine also has a good dose of cayenne powder.
