Hi - we’re a family of 5 arriving from the UK at MCO on 11th October for a week at Universal, then transferring to WDW on the 18th for a week. We’re looking for recommendations for a town car service to transport us from the airport to resort, between resorts and then back to the airport at the end of our trip. I’ve considered all our options and decided this is the way we want to go, but there are so many services to choose from, I’m hoping someone has had a recent good experience which can point me in the right direction!
Thanks.
We’ve used Cast and Crew Transportation several times for airport pick ups and really liked them. I know they do rides between Disney and Universal as well.
Gear Fusion is highly recommended and cheaper than other options.
I always use Tiffany Town car, they have been great.
A couple of things to look at when you choose a transportation provider:
- Child Seats - If you need child seats there is a wide disparity in the cost and available types of seats among the various providers.
- Return Trip to MCO - Some providers offer the option to pickup your luggage from your resort and pick you up from a different location. This saves you from having to return to your resort on your departure day.
I’m curious how this works. Do you have to inform bell services that someone other than yourself will be picking up your luggage? This seems kind of dangerous to me in general, because it seems like it could lend itself to theft.
Thank you - our kids are out of car seats now, so that won’t be a factor - but the separate luggage pick up idea is interesting. Do you know which companies offer that service?
I’ve not tried them yet, but Orlandomagicalrides.com has incredible reviews. May not be the cheapest, but people just rave about them…
I’ve used Away We Go to have luggage picked up at the Port Orleans resort and us at Disney Springs
It all rest on the security of the baggage claim check issued by Disney’s Bell Services. So for a luggage pickup from a resort, you check you luggage with Bell Services, receive a claim check from them and then send a picture of the claim check to the transportation provider. The transportation providers uses the picture to pickup your luggage. For luggage drop off it is the reverse.
This thread is a bit old now but a lot of the information is still relevant, if not outdated.
