DCL Wish, verandah cabins starting at $6765.
I’m thinking of booking this one when I’m able on Thursday, September 3, 2026 to get a great cabin location.
I’d like to use the Onboard Placeholder Discount for it, purchased during my November 2026 cruise. Is there any way to do this without getting bounced out of the prior reserved cabin?

wow, that’s a price tag 
I know the fare is discounted the closer you get to the departure date. Our transatlantic was only $800 pp, then we bid on a better room so that added $250pp. It was on NCL, but the DCL we did several years ago was booked a month before and was a lot less than if we had booked earlier.
NEVER MIND the 2027 transatlantic sailing is SOLD OUT 
I can’t register for it until tomorrow (due to my low status as Silver Castaway Club) and it’s not even showing up on the website now.
Disney has done it again! I’m trying to say “Take my money DCL please!!!” and they said “No.”

the transatlantic for next week isn’t even sold out. Nor the spring one.

First world problems, right? I booked a placeholder and got a very nice cabin location:
14-Night Eastbound Panama Canal Cruise from San Diego ending in Galveston
November 4 - 18, 2027
The longer DCL cruises are much more reasonably priced than the shorter cruises! Especially during the school year, which is all to my advantage.
I’ll continue to stalk the website to see if any other new ships (for us) become available in the next few weeks.

Zero availability for any NYC cruise for Silver Member Castaway Club, and I think also for Gold Members but I haven’t achieved that status yet.
So no, I have 4 other DCL cruises booked but nothing involving NYC.
I obviously live in a different tax bracket 
I mean, $6000 for two people for 12 nights is pretty reasonable for a cruise.
Yeah even trying to get a hotel room and 3 meals a day on land for that price would be very difficult.

we only paid 2100 for two ppl for a 15 day transatlantic, last fall.
