You’re reading the Wheel of Time series and find it incredibly distracting because at the end of each chapter you see:
My first one:
You are in Orlando for AAU basketball with your daughter, nephew, mom, dad, and sister. It is your dad’s birthday. Your mother says, “isn’t there a rainforest restaurants somewhere? Let’s go there for Dad’s birthday”. You don’t know what time games will be over and there are no available reservations anyway. But at 7:45 your party walks up and is at their table in 10 min. Because you are a Liner and signed up for a Landry’s card as soon as your mother made that suggestion. Your family doesn’t even notice the magic. Except your daughter who looks at you and says, “they have no idea, do they?”
A co-worker emails you asking for advice about going to Disney. Your reply is five pages long.
My 2nd one:
In real life you are 5-10 minutes late for everything.
But at WDW, you can pack up your room and get luggage to bell service, spend a day in Epcot doing everything you hoped to including 2 ADRs and all the headliners, get back to the resort and wait for the rental company to pick up the wheelchair, get your bags and your car and drive to the your next offsite hotel. Arrive within 2 minutes of the time you promised your DH you would arrive. When you woke up that morning, you knew this would be the case.
with spreadsheets and options
Exactly!!
Yes @LZurg! True story: my license plate starts with “AUL” and in my mind I think of it and say it as “Aulani”… and I’ve never been to Hawaii let alone that specific resort but because I have now locked on to this Disney obsession it feels so natural ![]()
You were watching Diners, Drive-In’s and Dives tonight and saw a hidden Mickey!
Oh my lanta. This is my favorite book series of all time. I’ve read it through from book 1 to book 14 at least 25 times with individual books more than that. I’ve pored over the maps again and again. This symbol is EVERYWHERE in these books. And I’ve never seen said, “there’s a hidden mickey.”
Now I can’t “unsee” it.
Or people on Twitter ask and you say, “140 characters isn’t enough. Please DM me.”
ha ha ha ha
You have no idea what you’re having for dinner 5 hours from now, but you do know where and what you’re having for dinner 5 months from now.
I do this to my grown nieces and nephews when they ask me if I will help them when they are ready to plan a trip to WDW. Will I help them: try to stop me.
OMG! I hadn’t even thought of this. My DH is an IT guy so we are swimming in tech. I will definitely use this in future(if I ever get back to WDW).
I was going to add this one! I totally do this. “I rope-dropped the post office on tax day.”
When you decide to to expand your vacation options beyond DLR or WDW and start looking into Aulani or DLP.
When you plan everyday for a beach vacation.
Arrival day dinner at restaurant A , pool in the evening.
Day 2 8-10 breakfast and make lunches and cooler
10:30 until exhaustion 3ish
4-6 showers
Dinner around 6 at Restaurant B.
Also get frustrated when researching trips other than Disney because of the lack of details!
Could have signs of being an over planner!

Silver Dollar City last Christmas almost broke me not being able to research menus.
I didn’t know that. How come?
From TP online (its in the Unofficial Guide too):
"Because Peter Pan’s Flight is very popular, count on long lines all day. Fortunately, the queue runs under the roof of the building, out of direct sun and rain, and has tons of art and interactive games to help pass the time. Ride in the first 30 minutes the park is open, during a parade, just before the park closes, or use FastPass+.
Our touring plan software suggests using FastPass+ for Peter Pan’s Flight more than any other Walt Disney World attraction."
And that’s another “you might be a Liner if” entry… “you can quote the Unofficial Guide”.
