You is smart

and Thanks! It was my first inclination, but I spent the last few days doubting it.
LOL.
I voted not expecting youād have booked already!
10 night on the Fantasy is my first choice.
Alaska would be my second.
I have less than 0 desire to go ti Singapore - especially for just a 4-night cruise.
My vote is partly based on: I prefer Lookout to Castaway and I donāt care for the Wish-class ships.
I mean I can change my mindā¦.
Yeah!! That was definitely my pick. We did a 7 day on the Fantasy over New Yearās to Puerto Rico, St Maarten and Castaway Cay. It was fabulous! And those extra ports sound awesome. ![]()
I was able to get the big balcony in the back of the ship and Iāve been wanting to try those so itās another reason I put the deposit down.
ok - thatās cool!
10-days would be too long for us. But I would love to try an aft oversized balcony on a ship sometime. We ended up really enjoying our balcony on our last cruise despite very low expectations!
Yes, I spend a ton of time on them just watching the water. I go out in the morning for coffee (have the room service) and then after dinner/shows/nighttime entertainment I always spend some time out there too. I find it so peaceful. I know you can get that from the shared spaces too but thereās something about the convenience. And these have loungers soooooooā¦
They ended up offering us extra space that we werenāt counting on appreciating. The extra space was out to good use. And you will have a lot more!!!
One of my fondest memories from that first Alaska cruise when I was 23 (which was Princess Cruises) was watching the dolphins play in the wake of the boat. Iāve never seen that since, maybe it doesnāt happen in the Caribbean, but this will give me more chance to do my science experiment.
We saw dolphins leaving PC in May! But not like playing and playing. Just observed them.
Isnāt the best?!? I couldnāt stop watching them in Galveston with the binoculars from our beach house one year. They go down and I have to find where they pop back up. Ha ha
That is a great first movie theater movie ![]()
That is my āweāre on the way to Disneyland movieā bc DS13 would always have us put it on to start the drive. Always. On the at least 30 drives we did when he was of Cars watching age. But I canāt remember the last time we put it on just to watch because heās very much outgrown that phase. So yea, itās so bittersweet.
Yes the 4Eās!!! We want to try those one day. Sitting and watching the wake just right out of bed or in the moonlight late at night sounds so dreamy!
Yay for booking it!! I am not so patiently waiting for Fall 2026 to book with a placeholder we have been holding out to use.
ETA: While I wait for Fall 2026 I have still been perusing whatās out there and just now went back to my cruise tab to this much less happy sight than your screenshot. ![]()
Yes that needs to change! ;-).
Awh thatās sweet, your Cars story. How old is he now?
He will be 14 in just a few weeks (and start high school less than a month after that so I am really feeling the feels about him growing).
And to be fully transparent on the cruises, we do have 2 wonderful ones booked (both on the Destiny) and weāve had an amazing 2 years of cruising as much as we can in the last 2 years, so I am definitely not cruise-deprived (but I am totally excited to get the next one booked and shop and dream and play around with itineraries until I do). ![]()
Yes, high school was not an easy time for us but it is nice they can ātakeā care of themselves or babysit. Thatās when DH and I could just go out to eat alone on a dime (cuz no need to schedule a babysitter). There are plusses but they donāt want you to read to them anymore is the biggest sad part to me about that age.
Also, I did a thing as DH showed me my bucket list I made over a decade ago (of which Iāve done some of these things) that I didnāt know he kept. So sweet! But I recall telling him that Animal Kingdom Lodge felt like I was doing a mini African Safari so itās been lower on my priority list because of that ha ha. Heās never been and as I like to get at least a day before a cruise to my destination in case of flight delays (donāt want to miss that cruise), weāll fly down Friday instead and do two nights at AKL with a Savannah view. Have an early lunch on Saturday in one of my favorite Disney restaurants Sanaa, knock off trying out Jiko for dinner (this will be new to me as it was closed last I was her cuz Covid) and then do the 10pm Starlight Safari (also new to me as it was also closed). We can swim or just watch animals b/w lunch and dinner as that is the magical part of this resort, and I donāt particularly want to visit a WDW park in July ha ha. So this is turning out to be a great choice (cuz itās gonna knock out some of St Lucia bucket list items too but Iāll still have to go back for Friday street party):
Bucket list
What a bucket list! It has everything, sentimental, adventure, leaving a legacy, itās a good one! Where is your birth city??
