Hi friends! Long time Disney World visitor here who for some reason is struggling to pick out the best parks to attend. I’m traveling with my kids (19, 16, 15) and will be in the parks July 7 & 8. We have narrowed in on Epcot and MK. On July 7, TP crowd calendar puts Epcot at a 3 and MK at a 5. For July 8, TP crowd calendar puts Epcot at a 4 and MK at a 5. This would appear to be a no brainer decision based on the crowd calendar alone, but on July 8, MK has extended evening hours for deluxe resort guests, which is not us, and I’m worried the park will be flooded that evening once the sun goes down. We haven’t been in the parks for a few years and I want to make sure we have the best experience possible. Which would you choose???
I appreciate your help!
July 7 - Epcot (Lower Epcot crowds!)
July 7 - Magic Kingdom (Avoids guests using Extended Evening hours on July 8)
I don’t think it matters much either way in terms of crowds. Are you getting LL? If so and you have a must-do attraction which is a harder to get LL, then I would visit the park with that attraction on the 8th (the later day).
As others have said, I would not base your decision on crowd level for this small a difference. I would do it based on how many hours you will have total in each park and what you hope to accomplish there. Just as an example, if you are checking in the first day and will miss a couple hours in the morning, will that hurt your MK or your EP plan more? Etc.
