We stayed at the Hard Rock (Pre-COVID) in the summer of 2019 (I think). I seem to remember it was just a short walk to the park but never went to any of the other hotels, so is the Hard Rock the closest?
Hard Rock is closest to Universal Studios. Royal Pacific is closest to Islands of Adventure.
This “map” is a bit cartoon-ish, but will give you a decent layout of the hotels in relation to UOR, Volcano Bay and Citywalk
Here’s the Google Maps version. It’s about 2,000 ft from RPR to IoA, and about 1,500 ft from HRH to USF (depending on how close your rooms are from the walking paths). It’s about 1,000 ft from USF to IoA gates.
Note: I turned this map so that west is at the top and north is on the right since that is the way the resort is oriented generally.
Just left Hard Rock yesterday. I would say more like 10 minutes to Universal and 15 minutes to Islands of Adventure. Had a slower moving kid with me. Similar to staying at the Contemporary and walking to Magic Kingdom. They also have a boat that takes you closer to the parks and City Walk.
Yep! I will walk from HRH if the weather is nice and I want to stroll. However, I prefer to get on the boat! I’m gonna walk all day!
The boats come about every 10 minutes. The dock is in the middle of CityWalk. It’s a little further away from USF than the walking path. It’s still fewer steps than walking the pathway to the park though for sure!
