I’m struggling with one planning item…our park visit order. This is our return trip to WDW, first visit 2004 with our kids; now they are in their mid-20’s and making an adult only return trip with them. Staying on-site and visiting WDW in late October 2023 (10/26-28 are our park days). Our group ‘parks to visit’ list (in order of preference) is HS, E, & MK, with AK if there is time. Although MK is listed third, it has the most attractions listed our group wants to see. I bought 3-day park passes, with hopper, plus bought the 10/26/23 (Thursday) Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party. I made preliminary reservations with the plan…10/26 (Thursday) Hollywood Studios, then hop to MK at 2pm-3pm for the remainder of the day through the MNSSHP. 10/27 (Friday) EPCOT, 10/28 (Saturday) MK with a hop to AK. I don’t want to short ourselves as one park and the MNSSHP seems to be creating some complication.
So, with the info above, does anyone have any advice on which parks we should plan for each day (reservations & hop) during our 3-day park visit?
I’m going on almost those exact days. Here is our plan:
Fri 10/27 - MNSSHP
Sat 10/28 - AK, HS (fantasmic)
Sun 10/29 - MK (cleanup), EP
Mon 10/30 - most of my group is going to Universal for the day
AK is a bad hop - it closes earlier than any other park. But it also opens earlier so it’s a good first park - maybe swap your Saturday around since there’s no MNSSHP and you’ll get great MK evening hours that way.
I’ve only done MNSSHP once and I did MK all day and it was the most magical day ever as people avoided MK because it closed early. We were saving some of the special rides for the event and my daughter and I were running out of things to do. I don’t know if that’s true closer to Halloween, so will let others chime in but I am now 100% in favor of going to MK on a party day.
Are you planning on using Genie+ and ILL? What are your priorities at Hollywood?

Have sons that want to do Universal too, that might be hard to pack in WDW and Universal in three days. We do leave later on Sun, so maybe a half day at Universal.
