We will be in DW 9/22-9/28. I am thinking about buying the multi pass for some of the days but not all. Maybe 3. Which days would you get the multi pass for?
9/22 Epcot
9/23 Magic Kingdom
9/24 Animal Kingdom
9/25 Hollywood Studios
9/27 Epcot
9/28 Magic Kingdom - leaving park at 5pm for flight home
I’d get it for Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. At MK you’ll get the most use out of it and at DHS there are so few rides that you almost need it to avoid long waits.
We, against the usual recommendation, ONLY got it for AK…because honestly, the wait for Navi is ridiculous. It is a pretty ride, but not worth 50+ minutes!!! So, we got a LL for that, EE, and Dinosaur. Once we tapped in for Navi, I got one for Soarin’ at Epcot. Then another for Living with the Land and Nemo.
None of these saved a ton of time…but it saved us having to stand in OUTDOOR queues for EE and Navi, which given the heat, was a huge win. We were able to get through ITTBAB, Navi, FOTLK, Finding Nemo, EE, and Dinosaur in about 3 hours or so, and hope into Epcot in the evening.
We didn’t see much need for it at any of the parks, really…but we really wanted to get out of the heat/park quickly at AK.
I agree with the others that it works best for MK and HS. It helps to reduce your time waiting in line at AK and EP, but if you’re not park hopping you won’t need it.
Since I am a park hopper, the best strategy for me is to buy it for AK or EP and then hop to MK or HS in the afternoon / evening. That way you pay the cheaper price but get to use it at the more expensive parks.
This was our strategy, indirectly…although it should be noted that by the time we tapped into Navi at around 10 pm, there wasn’t a whole lot of availability left at Epcot, other than the rides that don’t need it (i.e., LWTL, Nemo). With Soarin’, we saved maybe 10 minutes. So it isn’t a strategy I would recommend if you REALLY want it for the park you are hopping to.
