When's a good time for UOR?

I have my AP for WDW, which I will activate in December. I have tentative dates for 5 trips over the next year. Then, I’ve been thinking, “I haven’t been to UOR is a decade! I should go sometime next year.”

Even though I have tentative dates for WDW in December 2023, January/February, March/April, August (Crazy, in terms of weather, but I want to go to MNSSHP. I’m open to other months.), and December 2024, my calendar really is wide open to go to FL!

Tell me when is a good time, in terms of crowds, to go to UOR? I’m open to more than one trip to UOR.

I’ve been late November and early December for holiday season. I’ve also been late January to mid February. I did one trip in early May this year, and it wasn’t too busy. I feel like I did get lucky in may that it wasn’t too hot.

We just did a trip in early May…crowds were great! Later in May they pick up a bit, but earlier in May is post Spring break, but pre out of school time.

An extra trip? :heart_eyes: Maybe the week before Mother’s Day 2024? Maybe 4 - 11? Maybe my kids will help fund my airfare as my Mother’s Day gift!? :laughing:

I can easily add a couple of extra days to the January/February trip.

I will second a Feb. trip! It’s my favorite time to go. Low crowds / cooler weather - no school groups…

I love Grinchmas, but the first 10 days of the month or so the hotels are taken over with Pop Warner Cheer teams. The parks are kinda full too. (This group gets private parties at night during the week. They close earlier to the public for that too!)

I renewed my AP for HHN. I’m most likely going back in Febrary too. Plus UOR has Mardi Gras starting in early Feb. too!

Yes, February is a lovely time to go to WDW. Glad to hear that it is a good time for UOR, too.

Grinchmas sounds interesting. What do you like about it? I could add like December 13-14 for UOR.

I went mid February this year, and it was pretty busy. I think because of half term. I heard many British people over the trip.

I was there the first week through Feb. 8th… That may have been the difference!

The first half of February is low, but second half gets quite busy.

Using the DVC points chart gives a good indication of busyness of Orlando travel. You can see that first half of Feb is one of the lower ones. Second half of Feb jumps quite a bit!

Nifty tool! I’m surprised December 1-23 is better than February 1-15. Looking at this tells me I also should go I early May! :rofl::rofl::rofl: Thanks for sharing.
