Would love to hear some actual experiences folks have had obtaining Lightning Lane reservations at Magic Kingdom using Lightning Lane MultipPass.
Ideally, it would be great for folks to include the following in your responses (but I’ll appreciate whatever information you can give).
What was the date of your visit to MK?
Did you use a Touring Plan to help you plan?
What LLs had you hoped for?
What LLs did you actually secure?
What hours were you at the park that day?
What was TP’s projected crowd level?
I know this is a lot to ask but I think people (including myself) could learn a lot with this information. Depending on responses, the results could bring overly optimistic planners back to reality and overly pessimistic planners a little hope.
I don’t remember the details of my MK day from my last trip in November, but I feel confident saying this:
If you (A) stay onsite (to get 7 day advanced LL booking), (B) take advantage of early entry, (C) purchase LLMP and both LLSPs, and (D) schedule a couple early morning LLMPs, then you can do A LOT in one day at MK. The later you get to the park and start tapping into LLs, the less you will be able to do.
Thanks @davej. We do plan to stay on site (Pop Century), will do early entry for MK, and look forward to making the LL preselections 7 days in advance. Our early entry activity does include a traditional slow stroll down Main Street to take it all in which will cost us an early entry attraction, but that is a sacrifice we are willing to make (4 seniors).
The nice thing about MK is that everyone is let into MK about 30 minutes before the start of EE (an hour before regular park hours), and can walk as far as the hub area to wait at the ropes to each land.

This was honestly the easiest/most accomplished day I’ve ever had at a Disney park. Our 4yo was way more “ok! what can we do next?!” than we expected and she was pedal to the metal all day! I also didn’t include snacking and shopping pauses but we never rushed anywhere.
I had made a TP ahead of time to mostly judge what times to aim for for pre-booking our LLs but didn’t really look back at it day of, although in hindsight we followed it pretty close.
I can do our other MK day too, but it was a MNSSHP day so not sure it will be as useful. Hope this is what you were looking for and helps in some way!
Thanks @edonnes! Your target attractions aren’t the same as ours BUT this is exactly what I was looking for! You really were productive getting those standby attractions done before the 9:30 am prebooked PPF.
As I look closer, two of your prebooked LLMPs are high on our list (PPF and Haunted Mansion) as are the two Single Pass attactions (Seven Dwarfs and Tron). I rode 7DMM a few years ago but haven’t ridden Tron yet. Must confess that I am a bit apprehensive - more about the uncomfortable position of the legs (I’m old and overweight) than I am the actual ride. I hear it is very smooth.
I really appreciate you distinguishing between your prebook LLs and those you picked up once in the park. I’ll study your post more closely in the morning.
Also want to point out that the HM and PotC had plenty of availability when we were pre-booking. We opted for the afternoon since we were trying not to zig-zag across the park all day and knew we’d be in Fantasyland all morning before our lunch at the castle.
The day I was eligible to book LLs the system was down most of the morning. I think it was around 11am before anyone could book and we still got everything we wanted.
We did MK on Sunday 2/16, which was a projected crowd level 5. We always use a TP to help plan and adjust. We were in the park from just at park open until after dinner (maybe 630ish).
We pre-booked (at 7+4 days out) Peter Pan, Haunted Mansion, and Pirates with return times all before 10am. Single pass purchased Tron and 7D for later in the afternoon. VQ for Tiana’s at 7am (BG1 - thanks again Joel!).
We were able to pick up Buzz, Tomorrowland Speedway, Barnstormer, Under the Sea.
We waited in standby line for Pooh because the return time was later and we had 45 minutes before our 7D return time anyway. That was the only one that seemed more difficult to get an immediate return time, so I stopped trying when we decided to waste some time in the queue anyway.
You can do Iron at the back in a standard seat. Way more comfortable (and I’m told better) than on the bikes. Have great time. Get a ride photo on Iron if you can. They’re good ones.
