I was out on Facebook no less when someone mentioned the AP Spring room discounts were out. Tried to modify my reservation but no luck, had to make a new reservation under discount.

Here is offer I was interested in. Tried to modify current reservation at rack rates but would NOT let me. I therefore tried to make a new reservation over the same time period and cancel the old reservation. This worked and I saved $1287.

Did you have a Room Only reservation as the original reservation?
If so, those cannot be modified online. Frustratingly, changes to those need to be called in, because it is a different division in the company than the one that handles packages.
You can modify packages online though.

Also the site was massively glitchy today due to excessive traffic. I had to redo a lot of work to get through the process several times.

Never had a problem modifying in the past though. Last year though my TA said that if you didn’t get to it right away, there were only so many before the Modify was gone. I did not see Modify this year so I suspected that to be the case. Did say I could change the reservation though and I tried that but when it got to the end at checkout, it would not go through. Therefore, I went the New reservation route which worked and I could make a new reservation via the special offer then cancel the one I had.

I had a TA but she was so busy reaping the rewards of being a TA with trips and such that she apparently misses the special offers and I had to tell her about them.

Some of us have big lists of people to take care of on days like today, and we can only do one at a time.
And many of us have full time work besides TA work that has to be the priority.

Absolutely. And let me tell you, the one time I switched a room only to a ticketless package (for the free mini glof), that CM was annoyed with me AND Disney IT.
