WDW January 17 race weekend crowds

Hi,

We are looking at going to WDW during the race period January 3-11. We are not there for the race.

How much does the race impact the crowds?

Race weekends tend to be very busy in terms of the number of people around, but the impact to wait times might not be as noticeable. It will likely just feel more crowded. During the races traffic will slow down considerably and will impact your travel times to the parks. This is normally only the Fri-Sun of the race though so hopefully not too impacting on your trip.
