Correct on the first statement, from the day after the last party (often Dec 23rd or 24th) through to Dec 31st.
See @ryan1 ‘s reply for the second.

Yay! Guess who plans to be there (JN) on December 1?
(That’s the only date that aligns with our trip.)
I’m excited the 20th is on there cuz that was my planned night. But also the 22nd is new! They are going far out and closer and closer to Christmas itself
Those prices though! $160-$200 for the privilege to spend more money?
Maybe I’m getting cheap in my “old age” but while I was interested in this as a maybe for just DH and I, that’s an insane amount of money to me to spend for a 5 hr event (again, at which I would then need to spend more money - food, cocktails - to get the full experience).

They do let you in at 5:30pm so you get 7 hours all together. But yes that is shorter than a normal park day with potentially a lower day ticket price
But I loved this event! So I’m going again. And there are new to me things like Glisten.
Yes I saw that. It still doesn’t add value to me.
I’d rather use my AP and spend the day and evening at Epcot like I did a couple of years ago doing only Christmas things. That was pure magic!
All is now right with the (Disney) world! Yes.
We will be doing back-to-back parties it seems.
Those were the best days on my last December trip with DD. We did the cookie stroll over two days, sampled lots of foods, and listened to every story teller. One of those days the only ride we did was Guardians. It was absolutely perfect.
We are planning to spend our last day doing Epcot FOTH. I’ll buy after 1 pm convention tickets, and that same night there are Deluxe EETPHs at Epcot (presumably, based on last year’s schedule). This will give us a lot of time to focus on the FOTH…and hopefully get rides in on Guardians, LwtL, and Soarin’.
Curious. So, what do y’all think the chances are that we’ll qualify for the $10 off per ticket?
Normally, ANYTIME they say DVC Members get a discount, they have an asterisk and point out that you have to qualify for “Membership Extras”. We are DVC Members who do NOT qualify for membership extras…but this page doesn’t say you need to. (We’re going either way…just surprised the caveat was not stated…but perhaps it is an oversight.)
It might depend on if you call in to purchase them or if you are signed into your MDE account. If you are signed in online then your qualifications will be noted, but if you are just talking to someone over the phone there might be a chance they will give the discount.
Usually the discount is only for earlier party dates.
And I fear it will only be for eligible members. My guess is if that was quoted from DPB then they’ve just not included all the criteria. When it gets put on the Disney website for booking that’s when they’ll add the caveats.
But I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you. ![]()

I’m wondering… usually the discount covers the cost of the sales taxes so IF I was able to get them from SoG then it would be the same price as the AP/DVC $10 discount. They don’t have prices posted at SoG yet, but they do not add on sales tax.
ETA: I just checked to compare prices for the MNSSHP and I would save almost $20 getting them from SoG; that is more than the taxes or discount. I fixed it… looked at kids price
ditto
MVMCP - 19th
JN - 20th
Fortunately, it is no big deal. I’m throwing money at Disney either way. But it was curious. In the end, it would only save us $40 total (the $10 per ticket for the both of us for both parties). I won’t balk at saving $40. But I’ve already budgeted for the parties.
I think the same requirements apply as ever.
I hope you can get it but I definitely wouldn’t count on it.
And for heaven’s sake - it’s not even 10%
(I’m griping at them, not you - this is so insubstantial it’s almost offensive)
I know. I think you’re right. Folks are paying an arm and a leg (and maybe a kidney) to buy an AP or to buy into direct DVC…and in return, they give you a pittance it seems.
No it keeps playing for what feels like forever!!!
