I wonder if they are going to run Starlight parade after Christmas instead of the holiday parade like they did in the past. I am guessing they are going to keep the holiday parade for evwnts only this year.

Question, does the holiday music stop on Decemeber 31st, or does that continue on until January? I would live some days in the park without Holiday music (looking at you Hollywood Studios)

I went NYE/NYDay and some days after once and I cannot remember. I know some of the decor was still up post NYDay
Also, I will never ever ever go to MK on NYE again.

So - DS and DDIL are expecting their first child on or about 11/18. I moved up my dates from 11/8-11/18 to 11/1-11/11, and now it looks like the whole “Treat the Younger Girls to A Christmastime WDW trip,” is less and less going to happen. Grrrrr.
We went 11/11-11/21 in 2019 and it was very Christmasy.

I am very cranky about this.

Go in early december after the little tike makes their presence known? If the date you’ve given is 40 wks the babe will be born no later than 12/2 - head down the second or even third week

I’m currently evaluating viability of a trip just then! My birthday is 12/2, so that would be perfect IMO.

(I’m actually assessing if her mom is going to be around during that time frame. I will feel much better skipping off if I know someone has their backs. DIL just moved here after the 9/2023 wedding and has a very small support circle. I am hoping her mom be staying a while after Thanksgiving so I can get my WDW/Christmas fix. If not, I guess there is next year. :stuck_out_tongue: )

I am hoping something cool like the summer D+ rates is what is going to happen here:

This offer is available to book starting July 10 for stays most Sunday to Thursday nights October 12-November 20, 2025, and most nights November 23-December 25, 2025. Visit DisneyWorld.com/SpecialOffers on July 10, 2025, to get offer details.

I will certainly be checking on Thursday. I haven’t booked anything for November, but check many options daily.

We are at Beach Club, so I was thinking EPCOT. But last year HS had a sceret party. Bands, DJs, fireworks. The main Dj and fireworks were announced but the suprise characters and dance parties were not. I hope it stays off the radar this year (it was only reported by 2nd tier influences) because that is where I think we are going.

The daytime parades will be the Christmas parade between the last party and Dec 31st. They wont run a parade meant for nighttime or n broad daylight.

And my guess is Starlight will run in the evening as usual.

How did they have a secret party? Like when was it?

That sounds nice! I would risk Epcot on NYE too cuz that celebration looks neat with the countries going off at their new years. And it’s so much more spread out than MK it can handle fireworks crowds better. and just crowds in general

I didn’t realize the Christmas Parade ran in the day. I assumed it was at night like when it runs during the party.

definitely in the day. It was in the day on NYE

It was for New Years Eve. Early December, they announced that HS would be open till midnight and have a DJ around the Chinese theatre plus some fireworks. Before then it was closing at 10.

But when you watch videos of the night, there was the Pixar place dance party with Pixar characters, a brass band and dancing on Grand Ave (plus Dr. Strange roaming around) and a band in annimation courtyard.

So all of the extra was unnanounced and not really reported on because most bloggers were at MK or EP. It was a good chunk of the talent they use for Jollywood so I really hope they do it again this year (since I won’t be at Jollywood but love it).

Oh man, that IS cool. I am keeping my AP APR at Epcot untill a last minute decision has to be made!

Oh, I love it! Go in expecting it to be a complete disaster and a half, and come out saying “that wasn’t THAT bad (relatively speaking)”

Most of the decor in the parks will stay up until after the Marathon. It will all come down between that and MLK. The resorts will start taking stuff down on the 3rd. You’ll go to bed seeing the tree, and wake up with no tree.

Once the parties finish, the normal daytime parade is replaced by the Christmas parade. It’s been like that for a long time. They havent run one at night during that time, but now there’s a nighttime parade (or will be in a couple of weeks) I’m sure that will continue during the Christmas week.

So normal daytime guests can see a Christmas parade?

If you go during party season you will not see Starlight?

According to the details provided so far…
