I’m trying to figure out what the restrictions are on the water play areas (like the S’il Vous Play one at Riviera). Is it 48 inches? How strict are they about this?
Similar question with this one:
The pool area also includes Uwanja Camp, a water playground with 3 distinct zones to please kids of all ages. At Observation Station, children 4 years of age and younger can climb through cargo crates, unscramble animal images and frolic through a gently bubbling geyser and shallow cistern pool—while their parents watch from nearby.
At Departure Zone, a leaky water tower and sneaky African irises squirt children 5 to 7 years of age, while at Base Camp, kids 8 years of age and up can douse each other with water cannons.
Are these age ranges actually enforced or are the kids running around everywhere? From pictures it just seems like one big area.
I’m not 100% sure on inches but my 10 year old and her friend were told they couldn’t go down the small slide, and couldn’t come in the play area without a parent.
We had similar experience at Wilderness Lodge. My youngest was playing and my older daughter who was above 48, was told she could not go down the slide, but could stay in area with us.
It is 48 inches but they didn’t seem too strict, especially if you were with a younger kid. If you are way over they may say something. They were strict on making an adult be with the kids in the splash zone area which is a little annoying.
My 9 year old (turning 10) was told she couldn’t be in the splash play area at Wilderness Lodge. She asked when she entered, so I’m not sure if they would have approached her otherwise but I suspect they would have!
