Visiting Tri-Circle-D-Ranch

Has anyone visited Tri-Circle-D-Ranch recently? My family and I are planning on visiting on our arrival day in early April. We already have some tentative plans for the day that don’t include going to a park, mainly resort hopping and strolling around DS. I was planning on wearing sandals or flip-flops that day, but am wondering if I should wear sneakers or a closed toe shoe of some sort. We’re not going to be riding the horses, just saying hello! Anyone have any advice? Thanks in advance!

I haven’t been but iI wouldn’t want to be wearing open-toe shoes when visiting a stable.
Could you take a pair of sneakers to change into when you get there?

Most likely that’s what I’ll probably do, either wear sneakers or bring my flip-flops to change into. I saw a lot of pavement in the pics I could find.

Hay and straw can still get everywhere!

Tho it’s been a few years since I visited, it was the cleanest stable I’ve ever seen. Sandals would have been fine. Mostly you’ll be on concrete.

If you’re used to walking on grass in sandals you’ll be fine. But if you want to do any of the activities you’ll need closed toed shoes as per the rules. We did the horseback ride and the archery. Closed toed shoes for both.

I would 100% agree. The exception might be if you were planning to ride (in which case they probably require closed-toe shoes) or something similar – oh, which I see @gingerSnaps543222 covered. But if you’re just going in to say hey to the horsies you’ll be fine in sandals.

Thanks for all the advice everyone! As of right now our only plans are to say hello to the horses and just stroll around. We might do a carriage ride later in the evening, but plans are still up in the air. Thanks again for all the liner knowledge!
