This was the argument when all the rD races went virtual at the start of the pandemic. Longer virtual races cost quite a bit more. Like the 5k was still $80, but the marathon was $235 or something like that. It’s virtual! There’s no security or setting up or water stations or timekeepers. It’s a medal and a shirt in a box. How does the virtual marathon cost $155 more with the only change being which medal and shirt are sent?
