I helped a friend with her universal tickets yesterday. She’s going in march during a time that they are advertising vacation packages. However, when we ran the numbers as a vacation package vs separately it was cheaper separately. Specifically the base tickets and the express pass tickets for the same days were priced less. For (hypothetical cause I can’t remember) instance the package for 3 day, 3 park tickets were about $100 less and express pass about $200 less. The difference was pretty significant even with “discounts.” This seems counter to the whole reason to bundle. Is this like black friday technique to raising base prices to present at a deeper discount? Any any rate, it’s good practice to test costs across lots of variables.
Generally speaking, if WDW or UOR bundle things, you should be leary that it will save you money. They price things so that they win, not you!
However, sometimes packages have a more lenient cancellation policy,so you are paying for peace of mind.
