Great song. But I hate this
Make it MUPPETS songs! Electric Mayhem has some great tunes. I don’t want them doing covers.
It’s like they don’t even listen to us
A friend of mine saw this on facebook and texted me that the ride was opening on April 16th! Imagine my disappointment lol.
Yes. This. The fact that it won’t be is severely disappointing. Kinda was hoping “Movin’ Right Along” could be an option as well.
Agreed
I guess I’m the odd man out – I don’t know hardly any Muppets original songs. I prefer the rock classics. ![]()
That said if they chose originals, I’m sure I would learn them and like them eventually.
Oh and in case ya’ll haven’t been following, Disney released this image with clues for the other songs. Hence the “Original Idol” situation.
Well you know what your homework is.

He needs to finish watching Stranger Things before he embarks on that project…
If the do the chicken Bohemian Rhapsody I will be ![]()
There’s even a veggie veggie fruit fruit reference in there…
This is very Universal for Halloween Horror Nights of them.
Same here. I guess I never really watched the Muppets… I just can’t wrap my head around replacing Aerosmith with Muppets. I hope we are pleasantly surprised.
So Brain Stew is one of the guesses.
I’ve been thinking about this more. I worry (perhaps needlessly) that Disney is going to miss the mark here.
So, they decided that they wanted to use the Muppets here since they have gone away in Muppets Courtyard. Fine. Many Muppets fans will want the ride to go all in. But if all they are doing is replacing the studio pre-show with Muppets instead of Aerosmith, that’s only partway in. We get to see some Muppets, but then they doing music which isn’t really Muppets at all. I was kind of excited about experiencing the ride with Muppets music in it. But with that not being the case, I’m not really interested. (Side bar: When I would ride Rip Ride Rockit at USF, I would use the secret menu to pick Rainbow Connection or Movin’ Right Along. It was SO FUN having those songs versus the rock songs, IMO.)
Now then, you also have those (such as some of you who commented above) who don’t care about Muppets music specifically (Muppets in general?), so the changeover also seems like it is kind of pointless, other than to replace Aerosmith.
This is starting to seem like a cheap/fast way to deal with the fact that they had to stop using Aerosmith. When they re-did Splash to TBA, they actually took the time to write original music. Sounds like they aren’t affording RnRC the same here.
I’m on the fence about whether I’ll ride it. The coaster itself has gotten quite rough, and I haven’t heard that they are retracking this thing. I might have risked it to experience Muppet-themed music.
I took it that they would all be covers by Electric Mayhem, I really think Can you picture that will show up though.
Maybe it will be fine. It just isn’t what I was hoping for/expecting. Perhaps they announced previously it was going to be covers, but if they did, I missed it.
In the grand scheme of things, it is quite minor. But I mean, what are these forums for if not to complain about every minor decision Disney makes? ![]()
Oh this has turned into a game this morning and afternoon at the Office
LK is Lenny Kravitz Are you gonna go my way.
Original Idol is Billy Idol and Rebel Yell
now the dissention begins.
One thinks the spots are for Def Leppard Pour Some Sugar on Me.
I thought that the spotlight is for Shine by Collective Soul
One is dead Set Weezer will get Buddy Holly. Nothing to hang this one on
I don’t know who is right, but I love the speculation!
Why? (I am obviously not in the know here…)
