Oh…I completely forgot to mention The American Adventure show. Very moving. Hall of Presidents is also good, but not as good as The American Adventure.
I don’t think you said how old your travel party is, but I think Turtle Talk w/ Crush is cute. We also like the DuckTales World Showcase Adventure.
Hmm. One of the best? I mean…it was better than I expected, but hardly one of the best. The China and Canada movies are way better. Although…it was nice to not have to stand there and spin around in circles constantly, I’ll grant you that!
(Now, I realize it is all subjective. We can each have our own differing opinions. Except for you, Jeff. Not you.
)
Yep! Exact opposite for me. IMO it’s France, then Canada, then China. I enjoy them all, but I felt the artistry of IdF was of the highest caliber.
I’ll do my best to get them to go to it - even if I have to bribe them with croissants!
Kids are 16, 14 and 10 (turning 11 while we’re there).
Be sure to check the times, because before something like 6 or 7, it’s a Beauty and the Beast singalong which is somehow TERRIBLE and not IDF.
Yeah I think 7:00pm is the first showtime. At one point it was also showing for the first show of the day? Not sure if that is still the case.
So maybe a bit too old for Crush, unless you just want a break, but DuckTales is all ages. Germany is my favorite!
I had no idea it was in the same theater. I enjoy the BATB sing along even though I’m not a huge BATB fan. I mean. AC and soft seats help. But I like the Le Fou angle.
All of these.
- Voices of Liberty
- Mickey’s Philharmagic
And these too
I adore scavenger hunts and the Duck Tales one in Epcot is fun and people will wonder why ducks are popping out of windows in Germany thinking it’s Disney magic but you’ll know you did that. lol.
I love all the music stuff in Epcot too. And the holiday performers are fantastic. The only two that I found more for the kiddos were the Santa’s in France (my least fave) and then just meeting Santa. All the others are great.
The American Adventure is the best patriotic show cuz it has the animatronics. I like CoP a lot too. The Disneyland Band is fun. Walk thru Moana in Epcot, stunning.
Kinda old for this that we did one trip when my sister’s grandkid had just lost another tooth. We asked CMs at the World Showcase countries if they had a tooth fairy.
We found anywhere from ??? to fairy to mouse but we didn’t get to every country that trip and didn’t ask that question on any other trip.
The last two or three years it seems that Crush is talking longer, and to as many adults as kids. I
Crush
This was what I was thinking. Single musicians, bands, Kevin, DeVine, Winged Encounters all magical. And at the winter holidays - adorable animal puppets!
Nightime spectaculars:
Fantasmic and Happily Ever After are my favoritw two.
World Showcase has had some of the shows return - drummers in Japan, the acrobat in France.
Word of warning, don’t overload on these things. BUT if you can help guide the group to some of them, it helps add the Magic.
I will second Moana Journey of Water, especially for your age group.
If you have any budding artists (or even if you don’t! I can just about manage a stick figure), The Animation Experience in AK is great fun. It’s out at Rafiki’s Planet Watch, so you’ll need to take the train from the Africa section. An animator walks you through drawing a character and shares bits of trivia about the character and Disney history as you go along. After riding and eating and wading through humanity, it’s a real reset to sit in some air conditioning and draw for a little while. There’s a petting zoo out there too, and you can occasionally catch the vets doing exams or minor procedures on some of AK’s residents, although I think you have to be out there first thing to see that.
oh yes VoL makes me literally cry every single effin time. I mean real tears. It hits some part of my brain.
Yup cuz ducks pop out of windows and things happen at the train!
This is one that I have yet to catch! In all my years. And it has decent seating! But craptastical hours. ![]()
Maybe next trip! ![]()
Respectfully disagree. I’ve watched TAA twice. And each time I have felt it a snooze. And I like history- especially American history. I love, love Hall of Presidents.
I tried to catch it on my 12 day trip with 4 full days in Epcot and then evenings in Epcot and I still couldn’t cuz of it’s crud hours. The one time I actually could was towards the end of a long day and I decided to go to bed instead Ha!
