Universal Orlando News & Planning Thread

Very interesting. I am sure they will price this in a way that doesn’t errode the Express value, but it is a good option for short days or that one ride you really want, but don’t want to wait in line.

Very curious to see how this goes. I’m glad I have regular EP for my upcoming trip though - don’t have to worry about availability.

This is what I had hoped would open for my Epic trip last summer! I think this would be a game changer for my family where my youngest won’t do half of the EP rides.

This is what they were testing at Mummy and a couple other attractions last year.

They were charging $25 per ride in testing

I just flew out of Burbank airport and snapped this pic of Universal Hollywood from above that I thought some of you might appreciate. You can see the new Fast & Furious coaster.

My first thought is gee how colorless it all looks “from space”! But the second pic has a few smatterings of blue!

Looks great! I’m so disappointed that it won’t be running when I’m there in 3 weeks!

Yeah from this angle we’re mostly seeing the warehouse structures from the outside — all the color is in the narrow canyons between the buildings. Kinda wild.

I was bored so I marked up my photo of Universal Studios Hollywood with the locations of the major attractions / lands. It’s amazing how much they’ve crammed into this tiny bit of real estate on a hillside.

Since we’re sharing a bit of USH stuff, I wanted to add some FanFest 2026 updates.

It starts in less than a week! April 23 - May 16th. (I’ll be there Friday May 8th!)

Two weeks ago, USH did a media event. There was a food and drink preview with samples for the vloggers to try.

Line-up:

Interactive Scooby-Doo mystery experience in Universal Backlot with classic Universal Monsters

A One Piece stunt show at Water World theater with character meetings

WWHOP Forbidden Forest experience with Hippogriff and magical creature meetings

Dungeons & Dragons experience - repeat from last year, but it was the best

Original / New Sailor Moon cartoon short with character meetings

Jurassic Park photo stations with possible Raptor Encounter (unannounced)

Super Nintendo World character meetings

Plus - All rides are operating during the event.

Last year Nintendo closed really early - rides closed at 10pm and the land at 11pm! All other rides were going until 1am or later.

I will be watching to see if Nintendo stays open longer this year. The early closings were a major complain from a lot of vloggers and myself. Hopefully, USH listened! I went into the land in the daytime, but no for very long as I planned to do it during the event. By the time I got there it was after 10pm and everything was, basically, done.

I’m very excited for this event. Last year’s event was the best theme park experience I’ve ever had. I underestimated the WWOHP experience from the initial press. I don’t know why they haven’t announced Jurassic Park yet??!!?? I’ve seen video of the smaller scale JP gate set-up that leads into the photo op / character meet area.

This sounds awesome! I will have to find a video of this.

I’ll definitely be watching for vlogger updates and videos from the event next weekend!

After the light gray primer is applied, a close up shows the final paint colors and pattern.
