That’s a bit odd for them to put smoking areas within Epic, only to remove them before the official opening.

Yeah… that’s what I thought too.
I understand the need to do it. I would’ve thought they’d announce it to happen at a later date.
Imagine being a smoker there yesterday & today. Your day just got alot harder without any notice. I’m going to presume they’ll let it slide until the weekend.

The UXP queue for Hagrid’s is set to go online any day now!
The Single Rider queue will become the UXP queue. No more single rider option at Hagrid’s. I have mixed feelings about it going away. (I’ll definitely miss sitting on those steps versus walking the standby queue!! 
)

My best Hagrid’s rides was two waits of less than twenty minutes in the single rider line, one after another. At this time, you entered the single rider from midway through the queue due to hurricane damage, and you had to ask for single rider. Many people didn’t realize you could get single rider.
On the other hand, I once waited over 2 hours to ride Hagrid’s from the single rider queue. I had a 60 minute wait in the single rider, posted wait time was 90 minutes, and I was 3 people from the front of the line, and then it went down. I was determined to wait it out because it had been a meh trip thinking I couldn’t ride it, and when I realized I could, I really really really wanted to. I figured, either I would get a ride on it at night, or get an express pass for it.
I did ride it, and then the park closed. USO was having the cheerleader event, and I needed security to make a path so I could cross all the kids going into the park. I was in an ECV because I had sprained my ankle 3 weeks before.

My best / worst Hagrid’s SR queue story…
I got in at SR queue at closing with a 60 minute posted wait. I waited 70 minutes and was LITERALLY the final person to board the ride…
It was so painful watching everyone board while there were like 20 of us in SR, just waiting & waiting!!
They let me have front row motorbike solo!

As rumored, today is the day Hagrid’s begins using UXP. There is still a Single Rider queue. (I’ll try to find out how that works!)

I don’t usually buy express, but my DW loves Hagrid’s. She’ll be more inclined to want to visit Orlando again if she can skip the queue!

I haven’t gotten the logistics yet, but there is a SR queue still. (Maybe the old “unofficial UXP” entry near Child Swap??)

Looks like it’s absolutely killed the standby line. It’s 7pm Orlando time right now and the SB wait is 200 mins.
