That’s how I interpreted it. I’ve heard the same about Mel’s ordering from others
Like at Leaky Cauldron?
Is there a run down of mobile ordering at UOR anywhere?
I’ve only ever done mobile ordering at Voodoo.
Yeah, I think that brings it up to 10 QS restaurants that have that now. And more to come…
Have to admit I’m a little nervous about our next trip with all the new app-necessary stuff.
Last trip I was thrown off the WiFi every two minutes.
It was insanely annoying.
I will not have roaming mobile data.
I need to update this though. Circus Mc + Mel’s.
Also note that every place has a back-up ordering counter. They are snobby with it and sometimes argue.
Good excuses are:
“I only have cash”
“I’m using gift cards”
“Can I speak to the manager”
I hope ‘I’m a Brit and your WiFi is shite’ works
Just to clarify, I would be happy to use mobile order if the WiFi worked well. I hate battling with it to get it to work. The time we used it for Voodoo, it took ages and we were trying both phones
Did you ever get a quote on a short term US data package?
I’ve looked into it in the past.
Probably worth considering again…
Yes - we need to figure out a better way to describe this. hmmmm
I think all of the Mobile Food & Drink Offerings are either Pickup or Table Delivery, but not both.
Should we call it “Mobile Pick-up” if we get it at the separate mobile order window? Do we abbreviate as MP or MPU??
I’m cool with Mobile Pick-Up…It’s succinct and clear!
I like using MP too!
All other ways to get your “mobile order” inside an eatery, IMHO, are QS or TS
MOP (Mobile Order Pickup)
Side note. The restaurants say what type of MO they offer:
(image I found)
I used to be able to tell without being on site. But currently, with the updated app I cannot.
They do give good instructions none the less:
If you Google “Universal Orlando Mobile Order” and click the first link it will open the mobile ordering feature on the app. Then you can see the info your looking for.
Whoa, great tip. thanks!
Sounds good! We’re “MOP” people now!!
Do you know if this true for the new “mobile order only” places?
I’d like to eat at them but also want to pay with gift cards.
Every eatery has a cashier stand for people that can’t or don’t want to use the app.
The TMs will try to encourage you to use the app. However, if you are polite and explain you need a cashier they’ll direct you to the area.
Maybe before Epic opens we’ll be able to add Gift Cards to your Universal App Wallet!!
