I am planning a 3 day trip to Universal and would like to visit all three parks. The dates are January 18-20, Which are Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of MLK weekend. My current thinking is to do Epic Universe Sunday, Universal Monday, and Island of Adventure Tuesday. I have heard that Epic Universe is less busy on weekends. Will that still be the case in 2026 on MLK weekend? Also it seems to make sense to do Islands of Adventure on the likely less busy Tuesday instead of Monday. Planning to stay at a Universal property to get early entry, but we will not have express passes. I have also considered park hopper tickets to give flexibility, but not sure if that is worth it. What does everyone think?

Welcome to TP Forums! Really, it’s any body’s guess. I would suspect it will be busy though. I like the thought process for which days to visit which parks. I don’t think park hopper tickets will be necessary. You can lose a lot of time hopping from Epic to the other 2 parks. There is so much to do, especially without XPs that you can fill a whole day with what 1 park offers. I would save the $$.

I don’t think anyone knows what will happen when people can hop to Epic and have more days at Epic starting in January. I agree that I would not do hoppers. I would take a full day at each park. I would also do Epic on Sunday, based on the past 6 months. But, the dynamics could change.
