My first true meal was a special Boysenberry Festival item.
A jalapeño pulled pork BBQ sandwich!
I added more Spicy Boysenberry BBQ sauce.
It’s a hard flavor to describe, but was great.
The mac & cheese is homemade and too good!!
The cornbread wad very sweet and a little doughy

To recap…
In the first hour you can ride pretty much anything in the park with a low wait.
The park’s marquee attraction, Ghost Rider, is the exception to this as it is habitually busy.
It’s this park’s RSR, RotR, GotG level of popularity.
For me, i did a RD for food to maximize the dining plan.
Then did 4 rides, including one E-Ticket attraction and ate a second time.
Without that meal break I probably could’ve done a total of at least 6 bigger rides or a lot of smaller “off the shelf” spinning rides abd “boardwalk” rides.
The Photopass is a bit odd. You have to go to a building ro set it up. You get a card and lanyard. (YEA! LANYARDS!!)
You scan rhe card to get your photos.
Here’s the weird part. I can’t view them today. They will be emailed to me within the nextfew days!??! 
At my first real wait today at my #1 must do attraction…Hangtime
They are only running one train so it a little slow. Ot can have two. It’s a short track
Also the post waits in the App have been completely accurate.

My Knott’s souvenir might be a hat!!
Here’s what I want to know:
Do you pronounce it “KNOTTSberry FARM” (with a heavier emphasis on “Knott’s”) or “Knott’s BERry Farm” (with the syllables more even)?
(There is a linguistic explanation to this difference that I can share later.)
Done a few more rides and grabbed a Boysenberry stuffed churro.
They are made fresh right there from dough and fried. Then they fill it like a doughnut.

I say KNOTT’S berry Farm…maybe a little emphasis on the capital F in farm
This is typical, but sometimes when people aren’t familiar with the park they will pronounce it the other way. 
More below but I’ll hide it since it’s off topic. 
Ok so this is kind of a fun quirk. The linguist John McWhorter describes this as “backshift” where you move the emphasis back to the first syllable when a adjective + noun phrase becomes a noun in its own right.
His example is “blackboard.” If I said, “can you hand me that red board over there?” and then use that exact same emphasis but exchange “red” with “black” (as purely a modifier), you would say “can you hand me that black BOARD over there?” But now think of it not as a board that is black, but as a slate that schoolchildren use in Little House on the Prairie. Now the emphasis is “Can you hand me that BLACKboard over there?”
Similarly, other adjective + noun combinations over time have become a noun phrase:
Other examples are “DISneyworld,” “STARwars,” “BURgerking.”

The day has really flown by! If I want to go to Sam’s I need to stay on schedule. However, I am having a great time! I may skip it. I love a well themed restaurant, but I like good rides even more!
I’m in the older Ghost Town. It’s so great. It’s like a farmers market with booths and stalls.
Plus, so many roaming entertainmers and exhibits. You can watch blacksmiths, candle makers and etc…
I did try a Boysenberry Festival special…

They taste about as good as they look! 
Without the Boysenberry sauce they’d be good. I eventually scooped off the toppi gs and ate the tots at the bottom.
The older rides like Calico Mine Ride and Calico Log Ride have so many animatronic and show scenes! It’s pretty impressive!

Ok…as of 3pm. I have done every major attraction without using any Fast Passes.
Now, I am wondering Ghost Town about to go into a theater for a show called “The Great
Bank Robbery”.
One interesting “Liner” tidbit…
15 minutes appears to be the lowest wait time that the App will display.
So, if the posted wait is 15 minutes. You won’t wait more than that. Mostly it will be either a walk-on or less than 10 minutes
After the show I grabbed a Boysenberry sugar cookie. No Boysenberry flavor, but a great sugar cookie.
I tried to use my first of three Fast Passes, but it wouldn’t work. I had to go to two different GS locations to get it sorted.
In the end they couldn’t get it to work so they gave me an unlimited Fast Pass wristband

It’s almost time to decide on Trader Sam’s. I am having so much fun here and I am not much of a drinker. I just wanted the atmosphere and drinking alone can either be a way to make new friends or boring…
Plus, I feel like I would be going just to “check it off a list” like I did with Soarin last night.
Sorry Sam! I think the better “Trade-off” is to stay here with unlimited Fast Pass!

So glad you are enjoying Knott’s! Unlimited band is the perfect trade!! And I just love your soda count. I usually will bring a 12pk for each 2 days trip I won’t pay $5 for a bottle in the parks.
