UK tickets to Disney World

I wonder if it is looking at where your IP address is coming from. You’d probably have to use a VPN or something to get around that.

I mean, it would be a lot of work to do, I suppose. Just wondering if it is even possible.

I’ve never been asked for passport info either. But yes for sure they track the IP address.
When I am in France, I cannot even access the UK site without a VPN.

I have used a VPN to see certain things on the U.S. site, you’re probably right.

It used to be (pre-pandemic) even better - they used to do a 3 week ticket for hardly any extra on top of the 2 week one!! They dropped that, but not really sure why - the ‘spend lots of money in hotels and restaurants’ thing still applies… It makes for extremely relaxed touring since you don’t have any pressure to pack rides in.

And we need some sort of incentive because the £ is permanently in the toilet against the USD so everything costs a FORTUNE once you’re out there!

…I’m surprised people don’t really know about these tickets  We purchased last fall and again for March. I’m Canadian, so the 14 day is a better deal than the CDN discounted tickets. No proof of residency required. (I purchased from attractiontickets.com )

How does that work? You buy the UK tickets from Canada? Do they just send mobile tickets that link to MDE like normal?

Makes me wonder if someone from the US could buy them as well? (Probably would need to make sure there aren’t any significant foreign transaction fees on credit cards.)

Interestingly, if you switch the site to listing prices in US dollars, WDW disappears.

At one time at least the U.K site would only accept a U.K. or EU credit card (including countries with a link to the EU / Schengen area).

A friend of mine who lives in the US would buy them but had to use her U.K. bank card to do so.

Whether that has changed or not I don’t know.

They do just send electronic tickets which you link to MDE. So no problems there

I use CDN credit card (that has no FX fees) with no issues. I use the GBP option. WDW does disappear if you change to USD. Probably to make it appear you cannot purchase them perhaps…

They send a confirmation code that you link in MDE.

This is from AttractionTickets.com , right?

I guess the currency thing is to show that they are following the rules!

The exchange rate is going to hit a US buyer, but it would still be worthwhile.

I have a Revolut account; I wonder if I could pay with that.

You should get a confirmation screen after entering your card details, so you could always back out.

If you are going for 10+ days, and want Park Hopper+ and Memory Maker, it’s well worth it. (I think even at 7 days its a better deal)

I bought it for my mom last fall - she’s like I’ll maybe go for 7 days. She went to the parks 11 days. (We were there for 15…I went 15 …I have AP)

We got the 14 day for March - because it was a bit cheaper to have it start before a price increase, we are there for 8 days, gives flexibility to go every day, and they often have discounts, so we purchased in November and got Black Friday deal that was 10% off. You also do not need to pay in full at time of purchase, and can pay a bit extra for a refundable option.

A friend of mine got my family the UK tickets back in 2019 and they were an amazing deal. At the time it was cheaper than 7 day tickets here. I can’t speak to the experience of purchasing them, but they linked to our accounts seamlessly once he bought them for me. We had no issue using them other than some user error from my husband, and at guest service they commented what an amazing parks package we had.

If we are going to nitpick a bit, the cheapest option is still to find a MDG (for a 7 day ticket at least). Obviously only if you are affiliated.

7 day adult PH (11/2-11/9):
Disney- $813
UT- $748
Tripadvisor-(RMN10)-$736
AT(UK)-(564gbp)-$710
MDG-$654

Ah, okay, thanks. I’ve actually used this but don’t know it by its abbreviation.

Attraction Tickets is ripping you off then. A 14 day ticket (for the price of 7) starting the 2nd Nov is only £519 from the U.K. Disney site, that’s $652.
