UK liner - looking back a few months later

I didn’t write a trip report after our visit this March/April from the UK, we were exhausted but had a fantastic time both at WDW and UOR.

For context we are a family of 4 adults and 2 children (6&8) over 2 rooms with Grandparents in one and rest of family in another.

We flew Virgin to Miami and then back from MCO 2 1/2 weeks later.
Our stay was 7 nights on property at CBR followed by an Air BnB as we had 14 day passes (as are usually on offer for UK visitors)

Flights - Not great flying to Miami then overnighting before driving up to WDW. We found it very expensive (it was spring break/Easter) to get a hotel and the stress of a 90 minute drive up the coast after a very turbulent flight was not the best. Flying back from MCO much easier and Virgin generally very good.

CBR - Where to start! We loved and felt very much spolit by our stay here. I requested building 45 but we got room 4138, in the block closest to the skyliner and about a 7 min walk to the lobby. Overall the room was great, no issues and the fact it was so close to the skyliner was awesome. It makes it hard to stay at a non Skyliner resort!! The only downside was that mousekeeping were not great at all. They often did not come and despite supervisors saying they would be there at a certain time the next day they never turned up. One room only had it once all week. We have contacted Disney and they have given us some free nights to use in the future because of this.

Parks - Wow, were they busy the Easter week!! All 9/10 on the TP crowd calendar so we used the jet lag to our advantage to get the first skyliner of the morning to RD Studios and EPCOT. This is well worth doing as we were looking to avoid the $40 price tag for Genie+ and a party of 6 as much as possible. One day we were literally the first people of the day for ROTR and were walked through the queue with cast member pointing things out along the way, the other we went to SDD and chatted to other families about TP and its uses!!

Transport - Other than the SL the buses were fine. We did use Uber/Lyft for some journeys and a Minnie Van once after the fireworks. All money well spent overall for tired legs.

Food - We had the standard dining plan with one table service, one quick service and one snack each day. We had a variety of meals with Sanaa and Topolinos being the table service highlights. Sautali Canteen was the best quick service. Snack credits really useful, although 2 of our party (my parents!) just frittered them away on bottle so water or cheap coffee which frustrated me!

Air BnB - We stayed in a fine but not amazing Air BnB in Four Corners. Easy to get to AK and that corner of the park but awful on the I4 for UOR and not great for MK. Would not stay there again.

Long story short - we are going again in August 2025. CBR and also POFQ but lots to plan.

I’m hoping to add more to this report as I remember it!

Glad you had a great trip! So hard to get those trip reports done. I am guilty as well of delaying my report from late May!

Favourite Parks - The addition of SWGE really changed things for us. The kids loved spending time there and would recommend the bounty hunting if you have MB+. We forked out for one and then shared it between us. We also did the Star Wars photoshoot which was around $100 for 20 minutes but cram packed and well worth the cost if you are a SW fan.
Back in 2019 HS was our least visited park. We found it hot, full of concrete and huge queues. With the new additions it shot to the top! We still love AK for the general vibe and non ride activities but HS is very close for us. We used G+ for a day at Magic Kingdom which was a TP9/10 that day. It worked really well overall and we got onto every thing that we wanted to . Tron wasn’t great but worth doing once for the launch and outdoor section. Much preferred GOTG!!
