Is there a site you can look up transportation rates?

On Lyft you can put in the trip and it will show you the cost of the trip before asking you to request the ride. I think you can do that for Uber as well. For Taxi you would have to discuss it with the driver I believe.

To get a comparison, I go to RideGuru - Fare Estimates, Uber, Lyft, Taxis, Limos, and more. This site has been fairly accurate with the cost of the fares. The only time it has not, were the few occasions when there is surge pricing.
