TT Single Rider Question

I am hearing that TT SR is super quick so I’m considering it so that we can book FEA instead for out Tier 1. I’ve never done SR so how exactly does it work? What line do we go in? My kids can stay with right up to the time they get on the ride, right?

There’s a separate clearly marked entrance - still right at the front - for single riders (on the left if I recall but it’s been a while) that takes you straight to the loading platform. You’ll be split up as they send people to the ride vehicle and see a single rider is required, but it’s not unusual to get 2 in the same vehicle, so it’s possible you could have 2 kids together or you be in the vehicle with 1 - but you definitely shouldn’t rely on that. You should all be able to see each other until actually getting in the vehicle though, even if you are all in separate ones.

Your kids are both of the age that they can ride alone, right? Because they don’t like making exceptions for people who use the SR line but have a kid or kids who are not of-age to ride alone.

Yes - 11 and 9. I wanted to get the facts first before I ask if they’re comfortable doing it.

We did it yesterday.

TT SR 10 mins.
Standby 90.
Marie’s wait was a little shorter and my wait would’ve been a little longer except this other family suddenly decided to rearrange how the CM had Positioned them and I got tired of Watching them try to help each other, and I got in the empty seat as another SR.
The CMs were happy we took seats quickly.

Cool! Just checking!

At Radiator Springs Racers (I know…different ride, but same vehicle really) there was a mom who just assumed that they would put her and her just tall enough to ride son together. It meant letting a few of us go ahead until there was a party of only 2 in the main line so she and small child could be seated together. The CMs were not thrilled and all but said the next time they would be sent back to the beginning of the regular line.

Yes. That remained the same.

FYI Remy also has SR if that helps, too.

This is an old thread but a few thoughts on SR!

My family loves to use SR after we’ve used our LLMP to experience a ride over again. We did it at Cars in DLR, and multiple times on Remy in Paris.

Cautionary tale for those with ‘just old enough’ kids though. Make sure they are old enough to handle a ride breakdown without you.

At Cars, I was lucky enough to be in same car with my youngest son, (7) and my oldest (12) was by himself.

The ride broke down for more than 25 minutes! My oldest had a phone so I could text/call to check in on him.

but thank goodness I was at least in same car as my youngest! Still, the backseat in cars isn’t all that accessible if you are in the front, but my son was seated next to a wonderful dad and his young daughter - and the dad was totally including my son in all his Dad entertainment to pass the time while we sat buckled down in a dark warehouse!

Could have been dicey.

My son is now 10, and has an Apple watch, so we will surely do SR at TT and Remy if they want to repeat after riding together, but I will prep my 10 year old in advance for potential ride breakdowns.

Thank you for this! I will talk with both the girls (12/15). Neither have phones. At Remy you can frequently see each other in nearby cars. But TT is a whole other story!

Test Track is one of my favorite attractions at EPCOT!!! I love the fact they have a single rider line so my wait is much shorter. If the kids are old enough & do not mind sitting next to strangers, it should not be a problem. ENJOY!!!
I know that it gets very annoying for cast members (& actual single riders) when families/groups go in the single rider line together then insist they are in the same car or riding together across a row. More than once, I have heard CM’s inform groups that they willingly entered the single rider line & were told several times the parties will be separated.
