Thatā€™s about how it was when we were there, too. We entered the garden viewing area about an hour prior to the start of the show. We were there last Friday and also last Wednesday (booked two nights in case if weather issues so Friday was a bonus encore) Even though it was crowded it still beat being packed so tightly together on Main Street that breathing would have been a luxury! Hopefully all is well and you are just beginning the fireworks right now!
