Transfer of luggage between Universal hotels?

I’m considering a split stay at Universal (1 night at a Premium resort to get the included Unlimited Express Pass and then the rest of the stay at a cheaper Universal hotel). Does anyone know if bell services will transfer luggage between Universal hotels like they do at Disney?

They do it in-between the Premiere hotels only. You’ll have to get it to the other hotel yourself

When I do this I take an Uber/Lyft. It’s less than $10 and you can store it at Luggage Services for free until you are ready to check in

You can bring it with you on the internal buses. I do see people doing it from time to time. Although the buses from the Premiere hotels don’t run as frequently.

Yes, the Premier hotels will transfer to any other UOR hotel. Just confirmed via reddit by recent visitors.

Side note, Sapphire Falls will do it too.

So to get my bag from Stella Luna to Hard Rock, I need to bus or Uber it myself?

That’s my understanding. Of course I’ve never had the luxury of staying at any of the premieres, so I can only relate what I’ve heard here.

DD and I are staying at HRH only one night, to get the 2 days of Express Pass. It’s not worth it otherwise (to me)!

This summer we had to Lyft from CB for our one night at HRH. Feels silly for such a short distance but it was easy peasy.
I believe they say you’re not allowed to take luggage on the Universal busses which is another reason for the need to ride share.

You can do it. I’ve seen it a few times. It’s just awkward as you have to take two busses.

One person can load up a Lyft with bags much easier! It’s the only way I’ve done it. I thought about the buses for changing hotels once, but I’m solo with multiple bags. It would have be such a hassle!

UPDATE!

I just returned from a Universal trip with a split stay, starting at Royal Pacific and then transitioning to Stella Nova. Upon check in at the first, I inquired about luggage transfer between Universal hotels. The front desk rep stated that Universal used to provide such luggage transfers but no longer. :sob:

Thanks for the update. I’m sorry it didn’t work out. What did you end up doing instead?

I left my luggage with Bell Services on my check out day from Royal Pacific while I went to the parks. At the end of the park day, I picked up my luggage at Royal Pacific and then Lyfted over to Stella Nova. The Lyft ride cost about $13 and took about 15 minutes.
