TP for WDW roller coaster challenge

Even though Big Thunder and Rock and Roller Coaster are going to be closed I am planning to do a Roller Coaster Challenge in a couple weeks. I will be a resort guest checking in the day before the challenge - so I’ll have ability to book my LLs 8 days out.

The challenge will include
MK: SM, BS, TRON, 7DMT
HS: SDD
EP: Guardians
AK: EE
I will also probably do more rides in each park because I should in reality have plenty of time - I also hope to catch the MK night parade at park close.

The things I am trying to navigate are - Slinky Dog availability, and the fact that TRON, Guardians and 7DMT are all SP and I can only buy two. . . I will be solo so single rider lines will be an option. I watched some videos of people doing this but they were under older LL rules or TRON was still VQ.

So options as I see it:

  1. Bank on getting a day of SP for SDD, Book SPs for TRON, Guardians, Book MPs for Space & Barnstormer (this could be my early burner if needed) rope drop 7DMT

  2. Bank on getting a day of SP for SDD -rope drop early entry at AK for Everest and book it to MK for 7DMT? this seems risky as it will prob be easy to do Everest later in the day with an LL or single rider - even though it feels weird to give up that 7:30-8:30 hour. . .

  3. Book SDD MP (hope for an early one), Book SPs for TRON and 7DMT for the evening, Rope drop Guardians, and head to HS. (also if I do this wondering if better to uber from front of park, or walk through to Skyliner?)

  4. Basically same as 3 but rope drop 7DMT instead - and then I’d have to Uber to HS

Or maybe some other plan I haven’t thought of. . . let me know your thoughts.

Open with either Slinky or Guardians, then travel to the other park for the other for your first two coasters of the day. Keep your fingers crossed that a late opening doesn’t derail your plans from the start.

Head to AK to single rider EE.

Finish with MK in the evening as the lines for those should be shorter and an after dark ride on TRON should be the perfect ending.

I agree with this strategy. If it were me I’d get LLSP for Guardians and possibly Tron or 7DMT.

I’m definitely planning to max out my LLSP‘s and I’m planning to get multipass. I figured the best strategy would be to rope drop whatever LLSP that I don’t get and I’m still debating whether it’s better to rope drop guardians or mine train. If I RD guardians - i’ll probably book my starting LLs at HS. If I RD 7DMT I’ll probably book my starting LLs at MK.

My booking day is tomorrow and I can already see the return times for slinky dog are in the evening for the day I’m doing this. Aargh.

I would do LLSP for Tron and Guardians, and try to get LLMP for SDD and if not, RD. I would do 7DMT after 10pm and you should only wait ~30 min.

But if you needed to you could RD 7DMT - I just always hate starting my day that way because of the potential for delays.

That is a thought - I was planning to do the night parade at 10, but I could do the earlier one. But honestly, if I only have one long wait in all of this, it won’t be that bad. I do want to finish it MK so this does seem a decent plan.
