Tips on Incorporating O'Hana Dinner into my Plans

My 15 year old daughter and I are heading to Disney in late August 2025 and I really wanted to incorporate dinner at O’Hana this time (every other trip we’ve always done the breakfast b/c my daughter was younger and wanted to see Stitch). We are staying onsite at All Star Sports, so we’ll be using Disney Transportation/bus.

Looking for your advice on when to book this dinner? Here are my options:

  1. An early dinner (4 pm) on our After Hours night at Epcot. Take the bus to MK, monorail to Polynesian and eat at O’Hana. Then hop the monorail to Epcot for 7 PM AH entry time.
  2. Or I could add it as dinner before heading to Magic Kingdom for our fireworks night. Take the bus to MK, monorail to Poly, eat, then monorail back to MK for fireworks.
  3. Or I could add it as dinner on a MNSSHP day (the party I am not attending) where we are doing rides at MK during the day (hopefully with lower crowds) and MK closes at 6 PM (although we’ll probably leave around 4 when the party people are allowed in). I’d already be at MK, so I’d monorail to Poly, eat, then monorail back to MK, hop on bus to hotel.

I like option 3 best. The timing would work out nicely upon leaving from MK. 4 pm dinners work great in August when it’s a zillion degrees!

Option 2

Just cleaner, somehow, than the Epcot option, and I would not want to do it before MNSSHP in case of delays that would eat into party time. Plus that makes it a really long day - better to take a break at hotel for nap/rest after some rides earlier.

I should clarify, I’m not doing the party that night. I am solely going to MK for the lower crowds during the day.

MK all day, 'Ohana for din din

I like option 3 as well! Party day low waits have been awesome the last few years at MK. Plenty of time to do stuff and enjoy an early dinner.

Option 3. Less mess. We’ve done 'Ohana when we’ve gone to MK on party days. Left between 4 and 5:00. Perfect timing.

Sometimes my frugal sister would call for a Minnie Van to g get back to our resort after supper. :sparkles:

I like this idea, since you’d already be at MK.

Second best would be option 2, again since you’re already heading to MK.

The first option seems like the biggest hassle. Getting to MK is always stressful for me, so I’d hate to go there just for dinner. That said, if you are somewhere where you can hop a bus to Poly directly (ie., if you are at a park), I’d do that.
